I'm experimenting with Pligg and SEO

anyone have any experience. seems just as friendly as WP to me so far.

In some ways, I would say that Pligg is passing its time. The idea / concept is solid and compliant with a 2.0 mentality, however, the installs are all over the place.

For it to work effectively, you need to establish a community. I think in order to have a chance at that, you need to choose a very specific niche.

For example, "dj news." If you get too general, you can't possibly compete.

I don't see it working very well in adult.

works damn well for me and my blogs

if you use it wisely, and mainly internally, it is CRAZY powerful...but don't plan on starting any new social sites, as there is a new one popping up trying to become the next digg every second

the one feature about phpdug and pligg that I use extensively....ADD RSS!

you can start a new blog and add the rss feed into that pligg or phpdug install in one second and have one way internal links in a heartbeat
