That is how a solid business deals with their affiliates when they screw up. They know before you do if a check bounces and they were proactive. Kudos to them.

I think I have a Raw Like Sushi check I haven't cashed yet

How exactly was that statement dumb?

Traffic does not pay bills. Money does.

hahaha, here's a clue son, my worst year in this biz was never as bad as your best.
while its funny watching guys like you attempt to give advice to your betters, I can't imagine you're going for funny.:1orglaugh

Honestly 12 clicks, if you had as much money as you go on about, you'd spend $10 and get a new banner.. ;)

Even if that was true, it still doesnt nullify my previous statements.

I make $30k a year, so I know what's up.

Takes a long time to achieve this kind of success.

Did I get it right that time?

Peaches 01-27-2008 07:55 PM

I still remember people having 3cent checks from Seth Warshavsky bounce ;) Having dealt with Seth and Frog Telecom - his 900 biz that went bankrupt owing me several thousand dollars, I knew not to promote his programs. But yes, there have been several LARGE programs that have bounced checks. Maxcash bounced a few when their bank account was frozen. I had over $40K coming to me and it was right around Christmas - I was in a panic! Yep, it got straightened out but again, another large company that bounced checks. IIRC ARS had an issue when they were changing banks and some checks bounced. Was it a banking issue? Of course it was. Does MY bank care if it was a banking issue on the check writer's bank? Nope. All they care about is that a check I deposited bounced.

I've been writing checks for 30 years and the only times I've bounced them was when I was younger and stupidly playing "float" and about 10 years ago when I made a 7 figure deposit FROM my business account TO my business account (note: banks don't pay attention to the deposit information on the back of the check - grab the wrong deposit slip and you're screwed) and my personal checks started bouncing. It really isn't that hard to not have NSF checks but it happens.

Well, at least you are keeping your taxes down.

Go take a look at one of your bank deposit slips (the unused things at the back of your checkbook). See a line for "clicks" anywhere?

You too? Well, I knew Peaches made more money 10 years ago. I was surprised there for a sec though.

Peaches 01-27-2008 08:23 PM

Anyone old enough or live in a town that's small enough where stores had "counter checks"? The town where I went to college had 2 banks and most if not all the stores had counter checks which were blank checks for each bank. You'd fill out all your information and not have to worry about carrying around your check book :)

Yes, I also wrote 79cent checks for cigarettes so it might have been a long time ago.

12clicks 01-27-2008 08:25 PM

its simply amazing that I give a piece of advice and so many people who have left no mark in this business come in to argue with me.
hahaha, seriously.

ok, I shouldn't laugh. where else can chokey, notoldschool, and dockdate get attention?
on a chat board they can all pretend to be someone. Kinda doesn';t work at a show or other personal appearance.

however, I will make the offer to meet with anyone looking for advice at Xbiz. Wed. during the day I have a little time. hit me up, make an appointment, and I'll meet with you. even the clowns I mentioned above.

Peaches 01-27-2008 08:25 PM

Silly boys - a million would be over the $100K FDIC insured amount - I wouldn't deposit all my millions into ONE BANK ;)

as if you would have a say in working for me. hahaha, please chump. keep explaining how you have ANY say in your own life.:1orglaugh

12clicks 01-27-2008 08:30 PM

chokey the bear is a classic example of a shut in pretending to be something on a chat board.

a bitter over the hill script kiddie wondering why he has to pretend to be on a chat board what I am in real life. hahahaha, chokey, you do make me laugh.

BlackCrayon 01-27-2008 08:34 PM

Sounds like someone has something to prove. Who cares?

seeric 01-27-2008 08:35 PM

theres a certain program that is late 2 months with me so far.

not a ton of money, less than 1000 more than 500.

not sure whats gonna happen with em.

i'm not dying for it, but i still want the money. i earned it.

blah blah blah , once again your mouth writes checks the facts can't cash.

You stated big companies havent bounced checks, even a quick glance at the gfy search results show dozens of bounced checks, so you are wrong. A real man admits his mistakes and moves forward, a stupid man can't see his mistake because he is blinded by his own crapulance , a coward ignores his mistakes and blames something else . Which one are you ? :)

a piece of business advice from someone who started with 12clicks a day

Is the lie...you started with 2, but in 2 weeks you grew up to 12.

John sends his regards, he found all your payee information in the basement, pay stubs, address, SS#, etc.

(No, boys and girls, this info isn't for sale for $75 )
