I seriously cannot wait for the day when we discover other life forms of ANY kind, that is one main reason i do not want to die, i mean the thought of what humans are capable of discovering astound me.

Mars is only a speedbump.

I heared on Discovery chan. that there are more Stars in the univers than sand grains on all Earth beaches put together.

I can't even emagine this kind of number.

agreed i dont think it is about if but when, and i hope that i am around,

would be even better if they were intelligent,

sometimes i wonder how you see aliens attacking us i would see humans attacking them.

i dont see any other creatures in the universe as greedy as humans.

I JUST saw this on CBC news, it's so totally a fucking rock it's not funny. WHile I don't doubt there is life elsewher ebesides earth within our own solar system, i doubt it would be humanoid in feature, and i doubt it's to be found on Mars.

There are much more promising places in our solar system to search for life, and NASA already has exploratory missions in planning for all of them. Look up Jupiter's ice moon Europa, and Saturn's moons Titan and Enceledus. There is a very good chance that microorganisms could ve found inhabiting these environments...

That isn't what this is all about. Just keep watching... interesting times ahead. This is still the beginning of a huge manipulation of the people...

Do you really think the mainstream media is going to report some obvious rock as a possible "Alien" if there wasn't some sort of agenda behind it?

Just look at how much mainstream attention the Texas UFO sightings received... Even Bill O'Reilly was reporting on it with a straight face...

Same here. Out of all the galaxies, stars, planets, etc, there has to be something that could sustain life. I think we are too concerned about life forms that need water to survive. We don't really take into affect the fact that other species may evolve from other materials in the Universe. I'll probably be alive for our first trip to Mars but I'd love to be around for when we really start figuring out this Universe.

By the way, do you ever watch the Universe on History Channel?

There's probably Earth-like planets in damn near every solar system. All you need is for a planet to be in it's Star's 'habitable zone," just like Earth is...

If it was real, they probably wouldn't have released the image yet.

The search for life begins with the search for water. There is obviously a possibility that there are life forms which don't require water, light, or the same temperatures to survive as life on earth. But while a searching for a needle in the haystick that is the universe, our focus is best spent by narrowing the search area down to areas with resources we already KNOW sustain life. I would not be surprised at all if a deep probe on Europa or Titan found single cell or even multicellular microorganisms living there...
