No offense, I just hate this crying routine from programs about all the money and bills associated with their site. You chose to run a program and you chose the fact that you needed affiliates to make it survive. You also choose what you want to pay out and are competing with every other program in the industry. I'm not saying that your thoughts are wrong in any way, I'm just saying that you shouldn't blame affiliates for wanting more. It's just simple business, everyone looking for the best deal. |

No cross sales No Upsales No Leaks on affiliate tour AT ALL Also Rabbit: Since I have a score of 83, I should be listed as no lower than the #2 black site, No? http://www.rabbitsreviews.com/s2649/...na-Finder.html Thanks in advance for your consideration. |

Not going to bother to read the thread as I'm sure it will be the same old arguments. However for those who get this far consider this.
There has to a profit in it for the sponsor. Without it the sponsor goes broke and you COULD lose even more. Affiliates need to watch what they earn from a sponsor related to the amount of work they put in. Most sponsors understand that the more their affiliates earn the more likely they are to keep them. Long term it's good business. The money has to be divided between running the site and paying for traffic, spend too much on traffic and the content suffers, spend too much on content and the traffic suffers. It's about getting the balance right. If you want great converting content that will look and feel different than the other 20,000 paysites out there the money has to come from somewhere. Should a company millions to give affiliates 60% on a site that is totally unique and converts or spend spend $50,000 and is no different? Or just let the industry stagnate with the top dogs? And a few of the big porn companies. 2008 is going to be the toughest year we've known. The fall out is going to be immense. Let's consider what we need to do and stop moaning about the most important people, sponsors, staying in business. If you disagree with the sponsor being the top dog, consider who brings the $$$ into the business. Never seen a traffic site that charged surfers. In saying that I will be increasing the cookie expiration and payments to affiliates today. Seems the balance has tipped too far in my favor. |

The best deal is giving the customer the best experience for the money you can. Many sponsors and affiliates understand this and many are just looking to screw the maximum dollar out of the surfer. Making everyones job harder for tomorrow. Which is now today. |
well.. I usually don't post any replies, but this one was essential.
YEAH .. every sponsor shaves like hell , the hosting is TOO EXPENSIVE and finally there is NO MONEY IN PORN ...! I knew I should be a lawyer! :321GFY |

2. They are not mine. They are another company owner's stats whom you do consider smart. 3. Just because the dates set to retrieve stats are the entire year, doesn't mean the program was promoted the entire year. But nice spin you tried to put on it :1orglaugh |

hahaha, oh no! not alexa stats again.
you clowns crack me up. adg, I guess you'll be in vegas? I missed you in LA my last few trips out, phoenix last couple of times, tampa, miami, vegas this summer. where were you? airlines wouldn't take your alexa stats and actually wanted money I'll bet. but magically I can fly around the country making all the shows and the airlines took my imaginary money that I'm not making with the program.:1orglaugh hahaha, only on the internet can chatboard heros pretend to be somebody. |

They probably made those stats up about your sites... :upsidedow Yeah, I'll be in Vegas, and I was in LA several times this year, and at the Vegas show last summer (BFD), however, as I mentioned, I am neither a Sponsor or Affiliate, so I get marginal value from attending most shows. Instead, I focus on traveling around the country, and flying models here, to shoot exclusive content which converts nicely and gets me decent Alexa numbers, even though I have never kicked them back a dime or done anything to artificially inflate my numbers. Anyway, you are obviously "somebody" based upon your insulting and condescending attitude towards others, and your attendance at numerous adult events, and I am nobody since I spend most of my time shooting exclusive content and profitably marketing my sites. I guess I would lash out at people too if I had Alexa stats like yours...it's much easier than explaining such dismal numbers. :winkwink: ADG |

Obviously affiliates want to generate as much revenue as possible from their traffic, I was just stating my opinion on upsells in members areas. It may seem that I'm "anti-affiliate", but that's certainly not the case, as the hundeds of people who work with me directly can attest to, and as pointed out in my previous, less controversial posts. |

Son, my affiliates are treated just fine. Its only losers like yourself who have a problem. but please, prattle on. I've been here for 10 years because you're right and I'm wrong.:1orglaugh |

Spin it however you want, these are the actual Alexa numbers for your sites (either Alexa is lying, or you are skimming off traffic that they, and your affiliates, can't detect): Quote:

so, what I'm getting from this thread is:
revshare program owners aren't allowed to monetize their income through upsells, cross sales, etc. but PPS programs are? If a revshare program owner pays out 60% on revshare sales, why is it a forgone conclusion that part of that 60% payout doesn't account for cross sales, upsells, etc.? What if I open a revshare program and figure, "hey, I'm going to have cross sales and upsells, so instead of 50%, I'll payout 60%"? Does that mean I'm a shaving sonofabitch? |
Anyone who classifies cross sales as shaving obviously doesn't realize where their high PPS partially comes from.
But, hey, feel free to only promote CCBill. |
Quote:
Perhaps your actual traffic is higher - in that case, if I were one of your affilitates, I would be wondering why the traffic is not showing up on Alexa. Perhaps it is being siphoned off elsewhere...this is a thread about shaving, right? :warning Quote:
I do agree though, that it is amazing that my small independent site far outranks all of 12Clicks sites. Things that make you go hmm. :1orglaugh Keep spinning guys... ADG |

Sorry man, I don't want to be a dick - but there's nothing more annoying then people making stupid ass comments like: "Things that make you go hmm. :1orglaugh" implying that you are clever and have 'figured something out'. |
Quote:
or I could just be rambling :1orglaugh |
Quote:
So here's a :warning for you - I would start 'spinning' the highlighted comment above in your favour pretty quickly... and I don't care if the comment wasn't directed towards me, no one who works for or owns a program has to put up with baseless allegations or insinuations. |
