I need NTSC help please..:-)
Hi
I have 2 movies on tape in NTSC format and need these changed to AVI format If there is anyone out there who can help i can mail the tapes to you and arrange payment etc.. Cheers  |

NTSC ( America, Japan, .. ) is a TV format to compare to PAL ( Europe, Asia, etc..) .
Going to avi requires nothing more then an encoder to encode the original file ( which was ...??? ) along with a capture card / software. If you mean to transcode from NTSC to PAL, there is cheap software for that , that does a marvellous job.

^^ BTW if you do manage to capture it the DV stream itself will still be in 720x480/30fps format, but at least you should be able to convert it to 720x576/25fps PAL with your favourite encoder. Your video editing software may even be able to read it directly.

go rent or buy a cheap ntsc camcorder with firewire and dump it to your drive
