Obama - Victory Speech
If you saw it live last night and wasn't moved, I feel sorry for you... he's gonna take New Hampshire also. I didn't make up my mind until last night and I apologize for being late on the train. I did have him second after Clinton (I always thought Clinton/Obama) but after last night's speech I think it will be Obama/Clinton or Obama and someone else. I don't think Hillary will take a VP role and Edwards already ran as VP.

I have a hard time believing anything in these victory speeches. It would be nice to believe, for example, that he honestly does stand against lobbyist's controlling the US, or getting off Oil, but the truth is I doubt he could or would do anything significant to change that (I mean does anyone really think the Democrats will seriously pull out of Iraq much quicker than Republicans? I don't). Afterall Hillary makes the same claims, and when you read up on her she is the dirtiest lobbyist lackey going around. If what he said, was actually true though he certainly would be a decent candidate.

It won't be Obama / Clinton that's for sure. Regardless if Obama becomes the front runner or not, Hillary has more than enough money to go till the end. So she has no real need to team up and I don't think they would. They seem to be oppisates.
On the other hand Edwards has no real money, so I could see a Obama/Edwards ticket and IMO that would be the best best for winning as they both have similar messages but still different enough to bring in their own support. Obama is strong on trying to bring the country together and has a very strong personal appearance. He looks like a leader and IMO kinda reminds me of what I've seen from films about JFK. At least on his speech giving and presence. When I see one of his speeches I could easily imagine him giving the famous JFK "were going to the moon" speech. Edwards to put it frankly in words from the movie idiocracy, he looks like a fag. (Sorry Boy Alley) However he also has a good message he just seems too weak to be a real leader. He's against what corporate America has done to this country, so I like him. Yet, he just doesn't seem like a leader to me, he seems like a number two guy. Hillary, I just don't like her. I liked Bill but she just comes off wrong to me and it's not because I'm against a woman being president. She just don't seem to be right for the part. I think she would cause more of a partisan issue which we don't need now. I can't say who I will vote for just yet, but quite honestly I've watched Obama for a while and I have yet to hear him say anything I don't like. He seems to be the right guy for the job at the right time. I think he could not only help bring this country together, but I think he could do a lot toward our relations throughout the world. The Republicans all scare me.. That party has gone way off the deep end.

I love the things people base their decisions on. No offense crockett because I know what you've listed above is generally what a large proportion of people base their vote on, but wouldn't be nice if people based their decisions on more intelligent things, such as a Senators voting record, the actual meaning of his policies, etc, rather than whether he looks like a leader, has a nice presence when speaking, etc. And like I said, I know in the end a massive % of the voting population basis there vote on meaningless crap like whether someone looks like a leader, or if they have enough momentum so they can jump on the bandwagon as well, but it's a shame.

Regardless if you like it or not, that is an extreemly important factor. I always look at their history and what they have done, but I am also smart enough to know that to be a world leader you need to have a certian presence. Otherwise no one will take them seriously. (take Bush for example, he's made this country look like we are all idiots). I don't jump on any bandwagon, you can search my posts in the past and Iv'e always said I like Obama, even when people said he didn't have a chance. Hell even myself for a while didn't think he had a chance but he has proven me wrong. Of course it's still early though and wer have almost a year to go.

I also heard someone trying is hardest to sound like Kennedy or Luther King.. but maybe i missed something, could you refresh my memory and tell me what he said that was so great?
