It is hard to say if she was the one or not. I split with my ex about 3 months ago, we have two kids (twins). She was a great girlfriend, but as soon as we split she wouldn't let me see my kids (and still won't).

I think you need to think about the reason you split with her, it had to be something.....

she's the one if you're comfortable with her in every way. if there is anything uncomfortable, she might be "the one in your bed" but not "the one".

listen to your instincts on this. don't try to rationalize/justify her positions/issues if they bug you. don't try to change yourself to accomodate them. it will fail.

I went through a string of long term relationships that were good but I never really saw a real future in them and now I know my guy is the one. He was always there (we have been friends for like 7 years) but we got together a year and a half ago and now we are engaged.
