I am a huge animal lover. I love them more than people. But bumping the thread and starting new threads only leads to more interest.

I support the cause, but like you, I saw the thread but I decided against bumping it or starting a new one.

I believe the guy that posted it is Nofx. He has been posting about me and Weg for sometime now. I ignore him.

Yeah -- well I stumbled into it like alot of others did as well... I'm not an animal lover, and I don't have any pets (nor want any... hey I know my limitations) but animal cruelty is just sad - and even worse to joke about. Once it became clear that the thread wasn't about to disappear - things got out of control quickly....

I mean i'm all for free speech -- but like some others have said before, when your tricked into viewing something you would NOT want to view in the first place, thats just wrong on so many levels...

i think its pretty clear that gfy wouldn't support those kinds of posts, judging from their history. it was just a matter of how long before it gets in front of the right persons eyes, and you have to consider that the crew is just winding down from throwing the best party ive ever been to...from experience, after the team pulls together to throw a show and give it all they have, they crash out for the next few days.

No one is arguing the thread needed to be gone. But I do think with a little extra effort by the people who post here, it could be better. People only make a scene because they know a crowd will gather.

Thread needed to be gone, but the amount of attention garnered by him could have been substantially less. Just my opinion.

I concede to this, but like any company that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, there has to be a crew to man the ship while the rest party. Sucks to be the guy working that night, but that's just how it goes.

That's the way it's been, that's the way it should be. Even when I managed Taco Bell, the way we worked out Holiday Parties, is that Store A would cover for Store B while they had their party, and vice versa. No store was shut down for the party, or left open unmanned.

in a perfect world, things work perfectly. maybe it hasnt been an issue until now, and now, they will put a control in to prevent it from happening again. maybe they have mods that werent on gfy cause they were sick, or went on vacation, or whatever the stars aligned and this one time, there were no mods available for 24 hours

this isnt taco bell, a message board is largely self-managing, at least in my opinion the best ones.

lensman and eric have a hands-off approach and im sure there is a directive to not touch anything unless its approved by a select few people

LOL I've been posting on this board now going on almost 7 years...they don't have a "hands-off approach" because of some moral imperative. They just let things get cluster fucked because they seem to want to cater to the lowest common denominator in order to make a buck.

There's no reason to anymore. They built up a huge following by letting Boneprone go crazy back in the day with fake drama threads. Time to pull in the reigns just a bit. No need for such objectionable material needing to be posted.

And yeah I know this isn't Taco Bell, my Taco Bell was ran professionally. Taco Bell was just a reference to many businesses who know how to staff for their projects.

This board has ALWAYS been like this. If a mod was needed, it would take way too long to find one.

However, if your sig is too big, bam they're right there to annihilate it.

sure, it takes too long to find a mod when your refreshing a fucking thread 20 times a minute.

in the big picture its not a big deal. some moron posted pics of a cat getting killed, the mods deleted it when they were informed about it, off regular business hours, on a sunday afternoon. taken care of. no revenue lost, pictures gone, nothing but lingering drama
