You have to make sure you get the real stuff, otherwise you'll have to just invent some cool 'experience' story :P

that's not a full strength absinthe; it's what they allow in the us.
The maker (T Breaux), does make some EXCELLENT absinthes like the Eduorde, that are full strength.
Try this: http://www.bestabsinthe.com/index2.htm

I've never puked off of absinthe. I can see how it's possible though, particularly if you are drinking the czech or possibly german versions. Any of them that are oil processed are more likely to make you nautious.
Also, if it's a well made absinthe, you shouldn't have to add sugar.

Should have got La Fee (see sig). It's the only Absinthe certified as original by the Absinthe snobs.

That's not true. At all. I like La Fee well enough (I've probably bought 20+ bottles of it over the years, including one i finished this week), but it's not original, or even close to it. There is no absinthe that's certified as original, not even Pernod, which existed before the ban's in 1905, 08 and 12. La Fee is only a few years old, and Absinthe was invented in 1792.

There are absinthes that they say use as close to the original process as possible, but none of them use the oil process that La Fee uses.

There are lots of reasons to buy La Fee, but it being certified original isn't one of them.

Sorry but you are wrong.

La Fée Parisian is based on an authentic 19th century recipe and was developed in a French distillery under the supervision of Madame Delahaye. It is the only absinthe authenticated and endorsed by the Musée de l'Absinthe, Auvers-sur-Oise and in 2003 was the only absinthe to win a silver medal at the International Spirits Challenge

Original as in using the original Absinthe recipe. Not as in being the first (or original) absinthe.

Original as in using the original Absinthe recipe. Not as in being the first (or original) absinthe.
it was the only absinthe authenticated by the woman who made the recipe. Go figure.
Delahaye is considered a sellout by absinthe "snobs", and La Fee is to absinthe what beer is to wine drinkers. I've met her and been to the museum.
Keep in mind, this is coming from someone that professes to drink it anyway. I don't have a problem with the product, but you should really be a little better informed before you try and sell it.

Learn to read... It's authenticated by the museum, not the woman... big difference. You should learn to read better if you are going to spend much time on a forum, lots of text, some pics, but lots of text.

who do you think owns the museum?? Perhaps you should look into the text you copy and paste, instead of blindly quoting sources that are biased.

Although, I'd avoid La Fee Bohemian and stick to the Parisian.

I hear you there, to me it tastes like drinking a Nyquil / Jager cocktail. I think there's like a czech method where you burn the sugarcube, haven't tried that yet. Maybe I just have a real sensitive palet for that stuff, but it makes me gag a bit. I can drink whiskey straight, but absinthe sits funky with me.
