If on a technical scale, classical music perhaps is the most progressive/complicated. Even withstanding this fact- complication doesn't correlate with genius. Classical music can have bad songs as any genre? So perhaps Rock is not the best...but in a poll with people raised in Western society, conditioned/limited to the music we have, notes/sounds already provided & how they're provided (arranged)- you will find the majority (who gives a shit, really) lean towards rock music. The sounds are very accessible upon first listen and too melodic for the most part. Naturally soothing to the ears "imo".
