digimark is not incorporated into the standard .. in other works in order to decode JPEG code the viewer would have to support the active tracking embed

even cooler, what if the image or any copies of could check in once a month and report its location if viewable via port 80 i.e the web

We used to use digimarc a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago.

Digimarc even has a spider that will search the internet for your content and email you a report.

Here is the problem with digimarc, at least this was the problem when we used it.

When you digimarc the photos, you have to select a setting between 1 and 5.

1, 2, and sometimes 3, the spider never found the images.

4 and 5 always caught the images. However, using 4 or 5 degraded the image noticeably.

Although, that was 10 years ago. With the 12, 13, 16 megapixel cameras being used now, it might not matter.

I have not tested them lately either, but the report back about where your images were, was awesome.

They do report where the images are, but via an e-mail. Now I have not used that in YEARS.

So things could have changed.
