I haven't found much that I don't like from Trader Joe's. Every time I go, and I mean EVERY time I go, I get their Lemon Bread. The lemon juice literally oozes out of it. I shop the Tempe store.

I've been reading up and apparently they sometimes pull popular things with no warning and to stock up if you find something you really, really like.Their Joe Joes copies of Oreos are supposed to rock too. I go again on Monday. I'm giddy like a little school girl Hadn't tried the peach sauce when I listed it before - OMG, more great stuff. It's perfect before breakfast, on ice cream, in yoghurt, etc. I also see that you get 25 cents back for every bag. I've been putting the bags in the coolers rendering them useless for further use, but anything to save a buck or two I'll start recycling. |

My doctor recommended this to me, so it has to be good for you, right? Their frozen creme brulee! OMG. It comes in actual ramekins, you sprinkle the sugar on it (which it comes with), stick it under the broiler for 3 minutes, let it cool and YUMMY! It's not as custardy as I like mine - more like a runny pudding - but I think letting it set up longer might fix that. But something that tastes THAT good you can have w/o dirtying a single dish in 13 minutes should be illegal.
Artichoke ravioli - good Small individual cheese pizza - meh Mushroom risotto - again, something you can fix in minutes that normally would take forever - so worth it The lemon cake IS just dripping in lemon. Still trying to find the asparagus risotto, frozen jasmine rice, frozen brown rice and the bottled mango tea. Fresh flowers and even potted bulb plants are a bargain and bought a friend of mine some Anchor Steam beer we'd had in San Fran. I have no idea if they sell that everywhere since I don't normally buy beer, but if they don't, TJs has it |

Love thier hummus... we usually get the 4 kind sample pack...
The new guacomle "kits" are a great price, and very convenient... About 75% of our groceries come from TJ's now, got one around the block, and most of the food is just plain better than what's available at our other local grocers.

![]() ![]() ![]() You KNOW I trust your "best evers"! OK, writing down all the additional suggestions. I have the orange chicken but haven't cooked it yet. Will do that tomorrow night. So many times I try to buy something that's not there - I guess with such a physically small store it's just harder to keep things stocked all the time. DON'T THEY KNOW I'M DRIVING A LONG WAY??! I need to find a dry ice supplier I can't remember if I've mentioned the spinach artichoke dip yet, but what a perfect thing to keep in the freezer for guest! 2 minutes and you have a great snack. Yes, I'm on a freaking diet so I'm eating in moderation |

From Trader Joes I get pasta, soup, some veggies, beer, wine, and more specialty stuff like roasted peppers, artichoke hearts and shit like that.
Pretty much everything except meat, dairy or bread, that shit is cheaper at the grocery store.

yea, I am not trying to be rude, but back before they scanned their items, we had to call the prices out... remember driving home many times with the work 9 repeating in my head...
(most of their prices ended in 9)

I've been picking up salads there for lunch and finally had to repeat a salad buy:
their Spa Salad (chicken breast, noodles, grapes, mandarin oranges, walnuts and romano cheese with the greens and this curry dressing that is the perfect topper)

OK, I admit I forgot to look for the salads.....where be they? I THINK most of the TJs are laid out the same. Are they in the veggie section or in the prepared food section? Or somewhere else?

Peaches spend the extra and get one or two of those large 3 day or so ice coolers. Then stock up on a few of the reusable blue freezer bricks.
It is how I shop when I go anywhere with frozen or cold food. Not to mention the butcher and the seafood monger. Yes I am one of those crazy people that will go through the store putting things inside of my cooler. I even have a collapsable dolley in the event that the store has stupid standard baskets. On the dolley is also several canvas sacks for dry goods and the like. Again reusable and they get you anywhere from .05 to .25 per bag discounts at almost all stores. Funny part is I do not even live that far from most of my shopping locations. Though it has paid off more than once when I got rushed or idle brained when I got home and forgot the groceries. They were still frozen and or cold the very next day. Ok long post to just say it is much cheaper than dry ice

If they are something I can buy in a store, LMK and I will venture into one - or I'll start looking on the net. Thanks I was coming home one day from a TJ run and the main road to my house was closed due to a wreck. I went over some serious 4WD roads to get home - my mochi are worth it!! |

I have two big ones (full size) and three medium, and three small ones. I use some for more than shopping. As for the blue ice bricks. Just do not get the ones that have the dips in them for soda cans. Get the flat thicker ones and have at least enough to cover the bottom of the cooler or approx that many. I keep about 15 in my freezer at all times.

Thanks, ASM! I can't wait until the first time I'm pulled over with my TJ stash in the back of the car and I have to explain that I'm not carrying illegal food across city borders.
Thankfully I have a chest freezer so I can stock up on blue ice as well as have somewhere to store my stash. YIPEE!! |

They are generally near the produce, where they have other prepared foods like wraps, non-frozen lasagna, etc.

There isn't a TJ's close to me so, I shop at Sprouts. BUT, I just discovered there is one next to where I go for my yoga and tai chi classes. Looks like I will be loading up the car on Friday after yoga

Hone, you will become addicted!
I'm having lunch with a friend Friday and we are making sure it's in the same shopping center as TJs so we can head there afterwards. Going tonight to Sprawlmart and load up on coolers and blue packs |

Let me just repeat that I hate you all. I just found out that the first Wholefoods opened in London but it is in about the furthest part of London from me and not driveable. With the major trend of organics here you think there would be more places like that cashing in.
