Are rape, cp, incest STORIES illegal?

Any knowledge on the legality of the text stories describing the aforementioned...emm... fantasies?

My guess is they are legal, lots of mainstream "bestsellers" cover the same topics.

morality is another question entirely

Legal in the US due to first ammendment pretections, not so in all countries though including Australia where the really extreme stuff would be "refused classification" - that doesnt restrict reading it just selling or distributing it.

I am not so sure that they are legal. We certainly avoid them, and specify "us legal" for our library. I would be very interested to get a firm answer on this question?

Yep, no such thing as the first ammendment here. Only 2 states are able to sell X rated material.

Its fucked - prostitution is legal but 95% of the population cant rent a X rated movie in their own state.

I can produce whatever content I like but I cant sell it to or give it to anyone but myself or I could face goal (jail) time. So I have to send my content to myself outside of Australia before I can sell it. If I was to send it directly to a clients FTP server then I could be prosecuted. Got to love fucked up laws. Hosting my content site in Australia would be totally illegal.

I would be interested to know where EroticLibrary.nu gets their content. Is it all licensed or is any of it stolen from usenet, asstr, or somewhere else?

Your site says you add 50 new stories a week. I can't imagine where you could buy that kind of story content for anything that would make it affordable.

Is all of the content licensed from the authors?

I just checked, and several of the sample stories I looked at make me a bit suspicious about where these stories are coming from.

Do you have authorization from each author to publish their stories for profit and to re-distribute them to other sites for profit?

Remember, stories have the same copyrights as pictures and there is no such thing as public domain.

Maybe you are doing everything legal, but I would like you to answer on this thread about the permission you have to redistribute these stories?

legal, however.. if you have knowledge that they describe actually events or people the names of the victims better be changed or you can see yourself in a heap of legal problems, other than that.. enjoy the first amendment rights Larry Flynt helped protect you to have.

You beat me to it.

Also, The legal age for everything has continued to rise in developed nations--along with per capita income, status of women etc...

That's what I DON'T get, selling, producing or OWNING images of those topics is pretty much illegal everywhere, yet a descriptive story about the same things isn't? Well, I guess when the governments of the world can finally censor our thoughts like you know they wish they could, it will be too...

I am very good friends with some writers whom have written for WebQuest, FlyntDigital for more than 5 years. And have seen many people ripping writers off in this business.

Writers get ripped off more than anyone on the net I think.

The more I think about it, so do I.

I have seen my friends work bastardized and resold.

In buying Story content over the years, I hjave found a few jewels.

Can you imagine, I even know of a Site that charges for stories for Member sections, but they even give credit to "Unknown Author from BBS" can you fucking believe that?

Name withheld to start obvious flames.

We turned a site in last summer to Helmy that combined all three of those subjects in stories and he came back with that they ARE legal at this time (then anyhow). Since there hasn't been any news articles, odds are they still are legal. Tasteless as they are.

Although you and I may find certain people's fantasies to be tasteless and unappealing, people have a right to their fantasies regardless.

As long as the author is not instructing or counselling others to do harm or inciting hatred, fantasy-only works of fiction are legal, at least according to the FBI. That's good enough for me.

Charless Bronson Movies have some of the most violent rape scenes I have seen that are just released on DVD everyday. No, "Extreme Rape Scene" warning, nothing. Everybody loves a good Bronson movie eh?
