Customer Service MATTERS in this industry

Many people assume they can fuck their customers or they can double/tripple bill or just treat them like trash. They think this because they assume customers don't know about competition, or they just run their business poorly.

Then comes Phatservers. For YEARS they have treated me amazingly well. Their customer service is prompt and their reply time is SO fast I have become acclimated to 5 minute replies. So much so that when a company takes 2 days to respond I am beyond furious now.

My business grows daily, and Phatservers handles that growth. I want to just say THANKS AGAIN for your 100% uptime and support. Sly, you rock!

I had some non adult stuff hosted at another provider... It was down daily, I mean every fucking day.

Phatservers transffered my shit over to their box, and guess what.

It hasn't been down once. That was months ago.

Customer Service is so important that some sales I've made have been this simple:

<Phone Rings>
ME: 2much, how can I help you?

HIM: You answered the phone...

ME: Yes I did, this is Greg. Can I help you?

HIM: How long would it take to set my site up with your software?

ME: Less than a week after your DNS is pointing to us.

HI: Give me your name servers.

</Phone Rings>

That is a word-for-word quote - he was sick of tech issues getting two, three day responses, urgent or not... and then his server went down, with the same response... so he got on the phone and poof - we gotta new client.
