Sponsors taking signups from warez sites (Nastydollars, Platinum Bucks)

I noticed two sponsors taking signups from warez sites, just casually browsing today. They want you to sign up for the $4.95 trials, and then you get a pass to the warez site.

Nasty Dollars:
http://www.fullreleases.biz/index.php
Goes to this page:
http://www.xxx-site-reviews.com/specialdeals.php
Affiliate ID: jakedyl

Platinum Bucks
http://www.warezquality.com/signup.html
Affiliate ID: 235051, yesterday they were using 232624

Just a heads up. I've messaged your affiliate managers with this info as well.

No doubt there are tons, but the two sites above seem very prolific. They get tons of Google traffic and are part of pretty large networks. It would be interesting to know how many signups they're sending.

Why were you surfing warez sites?
Something you needed to check out to see if you liked before buying?

No, this is not a good thread. Your making it look like these two companies are involved in this and that you are outing them. I'm guessing the truth is that these companies have thousands of affiliates, and they don't check where all of their traffic comes from.

The proper thing to do would be to email them and ask them to drop that affiliate - not "out" them for something they knew nothing about.

I agree with writing them but please stop the "they dont know were the traffic is coming from" line. Its insulting to ones intelligence and your better than that.

I don't know about Platinum Bucks for sure, but you think Nasty Dollars doesn't take torrent traffic? Keep guessing, cause you have no concept of the truth.

Companies like ND are doing over 1000 signups a day....do you really think they look at the referring urls for every one of them?

Fuck no....they check out accounts when there are flags for CC fraud and when people like the thread starter bring things like this to their attention.

I'm sure you know where all of your clicks and sales come from, but with an operation like theirs it's a whole different ballgame really.

You forget I worked for a publicly traded dot com before I worked for myself. All that was done was analyzing numbers, where did the traffic come from and the bigger the affiliate base the more important it is. You guys make me laugh, you really think these million dollar companies fly blind until there is a problem. Thats funny.

i agree and in my openeon they shouldn't even care where traffic comes from, if some bitchs can not control their content stolen, this is not sponsor's problem.

Traffic is still traffic no matter where it comes from (Except cp/rape/incest)

I'm trying to do them a favor, not out them. I contacted them both before writing this thread. Nowhere did I say anything accusing or to suggest they were intentionally profiting off this.

These are both solid programs.

Just to let ya all know, I am tracking down info on the other sites up there and not just after madawgz and his crew, It's business for me and it's time this bullshit stops. I'll have detailed reports on all this soon and when I find something I do report it to the affiliate program so that i'm sure of thier stance on the subject.

What they 'need' is more people to be proactive about shutting these scammers down. I've taken a good chunk out of my work day to personally contact all these programs about their bad affiliates. Shutting these guys down is going to do a lot more for the industry than a bonus day.

Have you verified that once you signup for the paysite trial you are given access to pirated software?

We have already spoken to this affiliate to drop all torrent links. Not sure why we're still up on xxx-site-reviews.com, but the http://www.xxx-site-reviews.com/specialdeals.php page is where the torrent traffic comes from. In order to get there you need to create an account at fullreleases.com. As you can see, this is why it's somewhat complicated for sponsors to catch.

also keep in mind, xxx-site-reviews.com had been reviewed by our fraud coordinator. if you were reviewing for site compliance, there is not a single thing wrong with that page.

Bullshit.

You think programs look at where all of their traffic is coming from?

A program with ten thousand affilates cannot physically check all of the incoming links unless they have a staff of twenty people dedicated to looking at it. I've worked for programs that I have tried this.

Btw program who support such thing must be realy stupid beacuse if people buy access they buy it beacuse they want warez password and not access to porn site and they will never upgrade to full membership and sponsor will lose money with every sale.

If these joins were "fraudulent" they probably wouldn't be converting to full and the programs would notice right away, don't you think?

The thing is, all the links on that review page are in a database, and get rotated daily onto http://www.xxx-site-reviews.com/specialdeals.php

Yes, the index page may meet your compliance standards, but the same links are all over the site, where I'm sure they don't, because they are used to get warez passwords. Why would you tolerate this?

There's a BIG difference, NastyDollars probably makes as much profit as your publicially traded company with 1/100th of the staff...

I was actually curious what it would take for us to have every refferal over our 4 programs viewed daily and yesterday according to server stats we had roughly 842,000 different refferals...

So genuis how many new people do you think we need hire to view approx 842,000 different links every single day and we are nowhere near the size of ND/BB or AFF.. I would hate to see the number of refferals they have...
