revshare is always better if you are pushing a high quality site that takes care of it's members.

Sorry but PPS pays better for me. AT least until a program will provde PROOF otherwise.

A lot of the ccbill programs are smaller and do not have large members areas or update a lot. In general I have had some very shitty rebills and would gladly do PPS at $30+ with most of them.

Now I have no proof of the following here and am just voicing a concern: I hate to say it also but at times I suspect some of the less scrupulous (and small time) programs may be cancelling members then setting them up with other accounts manually (so you no longer get rebills). Something like this. I have seen some very bad rebill numbers. One I just started promoting a few months ago. I sent about 20 rebilling transactions. Not a one rebilled. I am thinking of testing them and seeing if any funny business is going on. Either they are up to something or their members area really sucks. I'd gladly do just PPS with that sponsor but few ccbill programs offer that option.

It especially sucks when you have a sponsor which has initial conversions which are great, yet does not have a PPS option and rebills suck. You realize you'd be making 2-3 times as much with them if they offered PPS.

there is always a place for both pps and revshare sponsors no matter what without question and everyone should be using both in their long term business strategeries

If youa re dealing with content which is exclusive and desireable then sure reshare would probably be better. If your site is just generic porn that can be found on many websites then no I wouldn't use revshare.

Every affiliate I talk to says that we are their best rebilling sponsor. I imagine that anyone with exclusive high quality content is the same.

Revshare isn't always better even if the members area is good. Another thing to look at is what kind of upselling they are doing within the members area.

A little known fact among affiliates is that members area upsells bring rebill rates down, sometimes substantially.

While the affiliate loses out on this after the member cancels and goes to that other site, your sponsor is still collecting revenues from that surfer since he referred him to his sponsor.

Some members areas exist only to harvest signups from affiliates to then immediately try and sell them on a totally different sponsor. There are some well known sponsors who use this method, and as a result their revshare option never performs as well as the PPS option.

Know what you are promoting.

Know what the surfer's experience is going to be.

I am a fan of revshare.

CCBill has a place to look up what you are being paid for a particular program. You can also contact support there and ask them what percent and rebills a program is giving you. It sounds like you might be promoting someone who either has a pretty bad members area or who has rebilling turned off in the affiliate payouts.
