Revshare isn't always better even if the members area is good. Another thing to look at is what kind of upselling they are doing within the members area.
A little known fact among affiliates is that members area upsells bring rebill rates down, sometimes substantially.
While the affiliate loses out on this after the member cancels and goes to that other site, your sponsor is still collecting revenues from that surfer since he referred him to his sponsor.
Some members areas exist only to harvest signups from affiliates to then immediately try and sell them on a totally different sponsor. There are some well known sponsors who use this method, and as a result their revshare option never performs as well as the PPS option.
Know what you are promoting.
Know what the surfer's experience is going to be.
