Have any secret home remedies?
I've been trying a few "alternative" methods of "getting better" lately and the results have been pretty cool. I wanted to share. Please share yours.
For several months I was having a really hard time sleeping at night. Just figured it was the way I slept and I couldn't really do anything about it. I was telling a friend about this and they asked what I slept in at night. I always slept in whatever shirt I was wearing at the time. They said I needed to change shirts, it would trick my head into "sleep mode". I thought it sounded crazy, but tried it anyway. Sure enough, I've been sleeping great ever since. Several months now. I've always had some stomach and digestive problems, mainly I think due to my strange eating times. Several mornings a week I would wake up with stomach problems. I started eating papaya every night before bed this past week and my stomach has been fine every morning. It's going to take further testing before I know whether or not it is really the papaya making me feel better, but so far so good. And after reading up on papaya, it is known for its aid in digestion problems.

The acid in the papaya is helping your stomach. Nearly any food with a good amount of acid will do that.
I however have a bed time ritual of a tea time with a very small snack, typically some fiber rich cookie, bananna bread, zuchinnie bread, or even a finger sandwhich on a whole grain sandwich. It just lets my body know its time to relax and go to sleep. Almost always it is some form of a green tea or specialty tea. Occassionally it will be an herbal tea like sleepy time or whatever. Also since I am trying to cut out caffine I have found that an apple or a glass of quality apple juice will wake me up just as well as coffee used to.

Another good method is to jerk off and smoke a big fat joint.

I hear kava kava works good for relaxing you before bed. Wikipedia it and learn more about it, they sell it in pill form at health food stores, I believe. You don't want to take it if you have liver or kidney problems, I hear. Check up on it....

I drink at least 4 espressos a day + at least one glass of pitbull and I can fall asleep at just about any time. I love sleeping and sleeping loves me (knocking on wood).
but anyway here's a good home made remedy for good night sleep - take your 6 year old nephew to the beach and spend 2-3 hours there, I guarantee you you'll be so tired afterwards you'll pass out as soon as you hit the sack |

-Sex or Masturbation for you lonely folk: Works better than ambien at putting me to sleep.
-Marijuana: Besides morphine, this is the best pain reliever I have ever used. It even relieves my pain when I get kidney stones.
