I take it you think soldiers aren't allowed internet access? After you're done with basic and AIT you move into your own place on or off base.

I did a tour in both Afghanistan and Iraq and would have no problem logging on here on a daily basis to shoot the shit.

I tried with both the Army and Marines, neither would take me because I had asthma as a kid. I still have it, but I still passed all their physical tests in high school. So no military for me.

I Was in the Marines 2nd Tanker BN M1A1 Tanker for 4 years
and I served in the Army 1-7 Cavalry 1st Cav Div M1A2 Tanker

I served from 1993 to 2001

I was building galleries on the rear deck of my Tank or in the back of the CO's hummer when I was his driver, when in the field. I would upload them with my cell phone connection

took all fucking night to upload 15 pics, thumbs and the html that went along with them

damn those were the days.

Soldiers have time to do a lot more things than just surf the net... A soldier is not a 24 hour military robot. When you're not deployed 9 times out of 10 your day goes by like it's like a regular job. At like 4:00pm you're done working and can go home and do whatever you want.

Exactly and when you are deployed, trust me you savor those times you can escape into cyberland surfing sites that don't remind you that you were almost killed 5 hours earlier and you get to go out and do it again tomorrow.
