DRAMA! Tracy/Fantasyc ripped me off on a paypal for epass transfer - GoFuckYourself.com

I had posted a thread asking if I should take this public a while back. Here is thread, https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/739463-start-drama-200-a.html , and now this is still outstanding so I decided to go public and warn people about what happened.

In a nutshell here is the story:

On May 10th Tracy asked me if I would do a paypal for epass transfer for $200. I had bought content from her before and felt comfortable doing it. Little did I know she didn't have the money in her paypal account to cover it and instead she sold some content to another webmaster and had him pay me via paypal to cover the transfer. Had I known this I would have never done the transfer. Me none the wiser to what is happening, I do the the transfer and everyone is happy.

Then on May 20th I happen to be chatting with her on ICQ about a new content package she has for sale when I get a notification from paypal that there has now been a dispute filed against the $200 she (or so I thought it was she) had sent me for the transfer. When I ask her what is going on all of a sudden she gets strange and starts saying things like, "I need to go do homework I'll be back in 30 minutes." and stuff like that. I have to leave so I tell her to figure it out and let me know. I just assume there was some kind of mistake made. The next day she comes clean and tells me about selling the content to that webmaster to cover the transfer and now he is charging it back.

I don't know what went on between those two exactly. All I know is that he claims he ordered content and paid extra to have it burned to DVD and shipped to him and she never sent it. Eventually, after a few weeks, she emailed him (and cc'd me on the email) the links to download the content but he said that wouldn't work he needed it on DVD. I refunded the guys money and Tracy promised to pay me the $200. I use paypal for a lot of mainstream stuff and didn't want to risk getting it canceled over this.

Tracy promised to pay me ASAP and after a few broken promises I got pissed and made the thread above. That got her attention and she promised to pay me within a day or two of me making that thread and told me she would give me some extra to make up for the trouble. This never happened. I would hear, "I will pay you by tomorrow morning." then not hear from her for 4 days. Then, "It will be before I go to sleep tonight." and nothing. I assumed she was still serious about paying me because she gave me the FTP info for all of their content and told me I could take what I wanted as a peace offering for this taking so long. For the record I have logged into it looking for some 2257 docs, but don't really see much there that I haven't already bought - nor did I find the docs I was looking for.

Finally on July 3rd she sent me a message that said epass has suspended her account and paypal has closed her account for doing adult transactions. She asked if a check would be okay and I told her as long as it was a cashiers check or money order yes. She promised to send it priority mail on July 5th. Of course it never came. She has not returned my emails or ICQ's and I am fed up. I will be filing a complaint with Epass.

I'm not the type of guy to take things public, but this really pisses me off. She has broken at least 5 different promises to pay me and I'm done being patient. This has been going on for more than two months now. So, if you are going to do business with Tracy/FantasyC/Fantasy Content, be wary, you never know what you might be getting yourself involved in.

you'd think a lousy $200 would be chicken feed to such a content provider, wouldn't you?

And regarding paypal, so many people these days don't seem to realize that it doesn't matter if you have no funds in your account, you can still send money. Paypal checks your balance, and if there isn't enough money there it automatically debits your credit card.

No reason at all why anyone can't send a $200 paypal, unless their CC is maxed out of course.

The amount of money involved is what made me wait so long to say anything. If it was a huge amount I would have said something earlier. Like you said there are a lot of options. I offered to send her an invoice via Paypal that she could pay with any credit or debit card even if she didn't have a paypal account. She had told me several times that she was selling content and would pay me as soon as the deal was done then nothing. Eventually I just got frustrated with being lied to.

cool. hopefully she will see this thread. I would be patient with her if she just came clean and told me what was up, but after getting told many times "tomorrow" or "today" you just end up feeling like you are being scammed.

It's already too late for that in my view. I am already leary of doing business with her based on what Kane has said here. I'm sure others will feel the same.

I feel for her. I had bank issues with both epass and paypal earlier in the month due to switching accounts. So I got hung up on a few payments too for a while. Got it just resolved like 2 days ago and everything paid that needed paid.

Bank issues, any issues etc I can understand. What prevents threads like these from popping up is keeping communication open with the people you owe money to.

Ignoring emails and ICQ's is telling your creditors you might be skipping out on their debt.

It's such a simple thing, yet so many do it it's well over the border and into insaneland.

I 've bought content off her a few times without any problems, BUT recently i paid her for a massive amount of content and we'd agreed that she would fedex it to me. All was fine after payment and she said she'd get a tracking number.. then nothing! No reply's on ICQ and now she's obviously set her account to appear offline...

The funniest part was 2 days ago when she contacted our affiliate support ICQ trying to sell content! I said when you send me what i've paid for i might buy more and soon after she was gone again...

It looks like the same thing happened in my situation. The guy she sold content to and had pay me was supposed to get the content mailed to him. He told me that he had contacted her a few times and she had promised more than once to ship it out asap and give him a tracking number. He says it never happened. Since I wasn't involved in the transaction (other than being the unknowing payee) I can't say for sure what happened, but it looks like the same deal and I've seen a few other threads saying the same things. This is why I feel (along with some others) that there is something more to her not paying me than just bank errors.

I just wanted to bump this thread and let everyone know that this situation has been taken care of. Stickyfingerz followed up on his promise and got some content from Tracy and he paid me the $200 as he said he would.

That is something he didn't need to do. I don't really know him that well and this is something that he didn't need to do. I appreciate his doing this and I'm glad that this entire thing has been put to rest.
