I didn't buy spots, but submit passes. Once I was able to weed out the ones that were no good, things picked up. Then my CC expired and I didn't feel like jumping through all their hoops again...so I just contacted site owners and got my passes that way. Usually for a bit less too...cutting out the middle man.

Good thing you drastically lowered that video-posts spots after a friend of mine bought for i believe 2k there and hardly recieved enough traffic to cover 1/10th of it and i brought it to gfys attention that the site had 50% less traffic than you advertised it for on your site

Wow so more people lose money than make it buying traffic. To be expected I guess, most traffic is skimmed and shit for conversions anyways.

I did well with a marks bookmark spot around a year or so ago as an affiliate.. if affiliates getting paid 50%-60% can still turn a profit then the spots are going for what they're worth. In reality that spot is making almost double what you earn.

We have done really well with our GTS spots and passes for over 3 years. Payment is always pretty simple, they send us an invoice and I approve the charge to the card on file. Once in a while we come across a listing that isn't the best but Mark and Devin always take care of us.

i started in this biz with submitting galleries. It took a long time before i realized i was a sheep following broke people who have to do the same thing each and every day, just like a goddamn job in a factory. Now, every day im so fucking glad i dont submit galleries anymore... Its a fucking waste of time. Id never buy spots on a tgp. Last tgp experience was about 100.000 visits from the hun and 1 sale. If i get 250 SE visits from i can get 1 sale. Fuck tgps.

No, and my experience is that traffic is often really low, not much as one would expect. The numbers GTS have on their site, seems to me a bit overinflated or at least misleading in way, you think you would get more then 1k of traffic from 100k site.
But there can be some great spots for sure, but these have already long time wait list. Sites with paid spots left, are free for a reason.
But I have spent already over 100k on other places over years and with great results. And I know some medium program owner, having same experience.

The problem with all the crap TGP traffic is the poor productivity. Even with the very best looking gallery you will barely get 1% of the people clicking through to the actual sponsor page.

But people keep buying from the GTS maffia, as their traffic is gold. Even if they loose money.

The biggest problem is 9 out of 10 people there wont make profit because the numbers he advertises with dont give you the traffic youd expect.
As i said before there are a FEW spots that work but they are sold out. Most of the spots there hardly give you enough traffic to make back the money.
Ofcouse they will tell you your gallery sucked or your sponsor etc. How does that matter if the gallery only gets 500 hits = 20 hits to the sponsor and 0 to the join page.

The prices especially for paid spots are nuts and the traffic is nowhere near what you would expect.

As i said many times contact the site owners yourself. You will get better and cheaper deals. And there are WAY more big tgps than listed on GTS. Believe me. I know it might take a bit more effort than mailing GTS but it can safe you loads of money.

There are 2 kinds of people who buy from them

Lets say 10% returning clients. Who occupy all the good spots because they found out what worked and keep renewing. Those are the only people who make money there.

And the "average webmaster" with a small to decent advertising budget who blindly buy because they get numbers thrown at them like 500k tgp here and 800k tgp there. It often costs them 100's if not 1000's of dollars to find out its almost impossible to make money from those spots.

You hardly see them post here though because 9 out of 10 times theyre told that they had bad luck, wrong sponsor, bad gallery etc.

Anyway, i think the poll shows what i just said.

I speculate the same. We spent about 40k on madthumbs top spots years ago and they did quite well. Then when those became locked up, we were suckered into 1000s worth of bad traffic.

I've purchased spots/traffic on and off for the past several years from Mark and GTS and I've seen some ups and downs. I did really well on some spots, really poorly on others. Honestly though? If the spot was complete shit for me, Spencer/Devin/Mark always made it up to me and a few of those times I made the money I had spent on the spots back and either broke even or came out with some profit. That's just my personal experiences with them. They've always treated me great.

I don't buy spots anywhere anymore actually. Never made enough profit off of buying 'em to justify it. I just posted about past experiences up until the last time I had actually purchased anything from them.

I have made very good money with them but that was a few years back
The price for affilates that only make 50% of the sale is just to high but that dosent stop the spots from being sold out. Programe owners can afford them. My biggest compliant is there payment system.

right off the bat this poll is flawed.

If i had some good spot i was buying and making good coin , theres no way im going to let everyone know im making 100%+ return on my money , why ask for the competition . i would be more inclined to lie and say i made nothing to keep the competition in the dark

Everybody knows who they are already and there are many, many different spots to buy across a good amount of sites and tgps. Its not like tipping somebody off to an obscure site/prorgam that is on fire.

THe numbers speak for themselves. GTS is a fucking rip-off that banks off new customers who think there is actually a decent deal available

I'm not posting this to start a fight, it's just the simple truth.

We lost money. These are the results of what I was told was one thumb spot per day on a 400k per day tgp. The spot cost $300. I ran it for like two weeks and finally asked for a refund. In fairness to GTS they ARE giving us half the $ back. I'm very unhappy and I will never purchase from GTS again. I contacted them several times and was told simply that our thumbs must not be popular. I guess I'm not a big enough Bro to get decent fucking traffic I pay for.

So this right here cost me $150 and prolly an ass reaming from my boss:

That blows Jim and seems that this is typical of them. At least you're getting half the money back. Well...maybe you won't now that you posted this.

I left our recent buy (just under $2k) up way longer than I should have hoping for some kind of a return. The sites easypic, call-kelly and free6 produced fewer clicks than my own 10k a day TGP does on the same banners. So I know it's not a creative issue at all.

We buy with Cybercat and have renewed with them for 2 years. I have never had any complaints. We also try new sites they suggest and normally do well. So I know it's not a "tgp traffic issue".

The couple small buys we've done with GTS have lost us money. This isn't slander, or bad mouthing - it's simply a fact. I don't really mind if they are upset with this statement because I don't think we can afford to lose money on another campaign with them again.

That's a terrible ratio, you can't possibly blame that on GTS... the sites are 3rd party sites, if no one profited from them GTS would drop them.

Of course people loose money, if making money with paid spots was as simple as buying spots and sending in your galleries everyone would do it. It takes a lot of time and research to find out what works and where, and you will loose money sometimes.

People that complain about paid spots being a ripoff are the same as the people that load up google adwords accounts, link to a sponsor tour, add a ton of keywords, then wonder why it's costing them more than they're making.

When you say we buy at Cybercat and been renewing for 2 years what site are you talking about?

I can and I will. With all due respect you're just off on that man.

I compared it to similar traffic sources and saw nothing anywhere near to performing that poorly.
