ISP level 404 redirects (Road Runner)
Anyone else seeing this from Road Runner?
I just started seeing this yesterday.. If I type in a bad url like a mistype of something that doesn't have a DNS.. I'm getting Road Runner 404 pages. example.. http://ww23.rr.com/index.php?origURL...www.ghhjkf.com Anyone know when this shit started? I know google started steal 404 traffic on sites that have no 404 redirect, but this is the first time I've seen it at ISP level.

Yes, I actually saw that at home last weekend, but didn't think much of it. Interesting though... Not good imo.

This isn't new. Just set your DNS servers to AT&T:
4.2.2.4 4.2.2.2 It'll be slower, but you won't have to deal with it.

Yea I mean I guess if there is no DNS record for a mistyped domain.. it's no big deal, but I wonder how long b4 they start trying to redirect other forms of 404 traffic.
