And no, it is not about oil. You may think it's about oil, but in Iraq's case it isn't. How much oil does the US get from Iraq these days? Tell me, I'm dying to know. Does Iraq somehow regulat the oil the US receives from the rest of the Middle East? If so, show us your proof. What? No proof? Then shut the fuck up.
My reason for supporting some positive action against Iraq is that 1) Since the gulf war, Iraq has continually given a hard time to US weapons inspectors, even after Saddam had agreed to these conditions after losing the gulf war. 2) Saddam has proven time and again that he can't be trusted, too numerous instances to name. Hiding undeclared weapons, etc etc. 3) Iraq has been stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, and seeking out sources of even deadlier weapons, this is no longer a secret. As I've said before, the FOOLISH thing to do would be to ignore this growing threat. Part of me would love to take the road recommended by many here and do nothing, have the US continue to *negotiate* with Saddam, but I am quite sure that will lead to quite a few hundred-thousand lives being lost eventually when he pulls his next big stunt. No, the time to go in and remove this threat is upon us, and the only country with the military might and resources to do it is the US. If the serbs don't like it, tough shit. If the germans don't like it, tough shit. If anyone doesn't like it, tough shit. It will very likely be for your own good in the long run. Having a nutbar like Saddam in possession of nukes and biological weapons and allowing him to operate freely with them is insane. Are you insane? |

let him fight his own board wars go back to his original post and reply if you like i think that answers on your questions above are there he?s got enough of money and free time and can afford to waste his time on clarifying things and exposing lies or, if you like it better this way - can afford to waste his time on expressing his own opinions personally i think that those efforts are useless the first victim of war is always the truth and history has been always written by the winners but do not forget that the victory has many shapes and sides i'm out of this discussion a got a gallery to build =)) let him register and go on if he wants keyboard fights really aren?t my style |
