How many of you are quietly dealing with some personal crisis right now?

I bet a lot of you are.

My favorite aunt in the whole world just passed away in her sleep last night after a long battle with cancer. I've been sitting here waiting for the call for about 10 days now, and when the phone rang at 8 am I knew it was the one. She hung on just long enough to see her grandson who was sent home from Iraq for 2 weeks so he could see his grandmother one last time.

And on another note my old dog Sully is living his last days too. I'm just taking care of him until it's time to take him in for the final sleep.

This is a tough summer for me so far.

What about you? What sorts of tough family/personal situations might you be going through and want to share? I'm sure what I'm coping with is nothing compared to some.

Believe me, I'm trying.

I think with all the other family issues and things that are also weighing down on me right now I'm actually bearing up quite well.

May was a really tough month for me... I had one life changing experience, a family emergency when my youngest niece *who is the most important person in my life* her kidney almost ruptured, and then my dog as you know passed away.

I'm doing better now...but it was tough going there for a bit. Hang in there, better days are ahead.

No, she is from International Falls, MN.

The one near Bancroft was an uncle, and he passed way about 4 years ago.

Hard times are a matter of perseption, like time. I know what it's like to have hard times, but hard times change meaning throughout time.

When we loose a loved one, it seems hard, but time spent mourning the loss of a loved one is justified only when you kick ass, rock and roll, or what ever analogy you wish to use, for that lost loved one.

Look at life and its trials as a reason to counter-act its troubles. If your aunt loved you, she would like nothing more than to see you rejoice in the life that she led than to mourn her passing.

You've had a lifetime to mourn the day she passed, but eternity to rejoice in what she would love to see the most in you.

My ex-mother-in-law, who unlike most mother-in-laws is truly a saint and a woman I greatly admire, is battling with emphysema and watching her haul around an oxygen tank is rough. She just had another trip to the emergency room last night and even though she's ok now and had a few close calls, we know it's a matter of time and one of these hospital visits will be her last...

this actually has been the best for me - we have our first child - great home and awesome friends. my person shit came to an end last year - so the best advice I can say is that it doesnt rain everyday. guaranteed in a few years when things are awesome in your life you'll look back and say to yourself, "hang on - things are going to get better soon"

Well I must admit, my penis size has been bothering me a lot lately.

it seems that shrinks more with age, I am wondering when I will have to have the extender operation and it has me real sad.

good thing is , I have www.fuckinhorny.com to keep me a good hard on and I feel bigger most days so not all is lost .

We all have things that get to us in one way or another. the best thing to do, is remember the loved ones, and get even with the ones that wronged us. Even if getting even is making yourself better than they are.

I had a model chip a fingernail on a set the other day.

Her sadness was almost unbearable. After much consoling she finally shook it off and did the double dong...

There is hope!

My aunt's favorite drink was a ceasar, lots of vodka, clamato juice and a splash of tobasco to zip it up, with a fresh stalk of celery as a garnish. I think I'll have me a few tonight in her honor.

Dad

My father died on Sunday, but couldn't tell my softball teamates, because I knew they would tell me to sit out a super important game that was being played on Tuesday.

They would have been screwed in the outfield if I wasn't there, so kept it to myself. I hit a home run my first at-bat. We lost the game when I was the winning run in the last inning, but I tripped and ate it rounding second base.

To top it off, I scraped a 3 inch patch of skin off my forearm when I fell.

bronco67, that is a sad story. I hope today is better for you. Maybe the universe was trying to tell you to slow down & deal with your feelings .. so it tripped you over! I'll send you some good energy in my prayers & am sorry to hear about your loss.

CDSmith, why was she your fave aunt?
I'm sure she's now found a peace that she wouldn't have felt while she was ill & she was obviously ready to go. What a great thing that her grandson made it home in time ...

I'm not dealing with anything I'd consider a crisis ... there's some usual life shit, a bit of drama, stuff that could be better, but nothing that's really all that significant. Dealing with a crisis seems easy to me, its staying positive every day that's the challenge.

Truthfully all my aunts are special, uncles too for that matter. But I was just closer to this particular aunt than the others is all. Her husband died when she was just 55 yrs old (She was 79 this year), and she lived the remainder of her life alone in that respect. Her house badly needed work done on it for years, so one summer in the late 90's I took a week off work and drove down there with my painting and renovation kit, gutted her living room, put up new drywall, taped, patched, mudded, primed and painted, and made her home look like new again. She has raved about me doing that for her for years, but the truth is she did much more for me back then and over the years. It was my pleasure to help her out.

She was a truly special lady, and anyone that knew her would say the same. She loved people, she loved life, loved to eat (yet she was just a little snip of a thing at barely 100 lbs even when healthy), she always had the coffee on and food on the table for anyone who dropped by her place, and she loved to talk up a storm.

It's been one of the tougher summers for me and my family so far. Last week a 2nd cousin of mine died in a car crash in Northern Ontario. She was only 20 yrs old and about to go into nursing school. What a tragedy to have one's life cut so short. My family on my mother's side is massive and widespread across Canada and the US, we are all in shock right now.

Looking forward to some better news soon (hopefully), and hope everyone here are faring far better in your private lives.

Hi CD,

I just spoke with you a bit ago. I told you how I had to put my Golden Retriever "Abby" to sleep and how much I missed her. It's sad!!!!

Yes, I also have some very important issues going on at this time too.
Not that I want to address in a forum!
Life sucks some times! Why can't it just be easy with no problems?
I guess we would never grow and learn if that was the case.

Sadness and tears make us feel real life!
Hopefully we also get to feel the happiness and laughs after.

Take care!

It's been tough for the last couple of days. I had to put down my dog of 13 years. He was a family member to us.
His health had been deteriorating for a while now. We knew it was coming and tried to mentally prepare for it but.....
it just sucks.

All this happen in 2007? If so wow... it's been a tough year for you as well.

I dare say... holy shit!

Thanks to everyone for sharing and commenting. Anyone else that wants to, feel free to unload, it'll do you good. This thread isn't about wallowing in self-pity or wanting pity, it's about survival in spite of the shit that can happen in your life at any given time. Anyone can get caught in a shitstorm. It's what you do after that matters.... learn from it, grow from it, and move FORWARD.

Hey no one is immune to feeling down
:-((

I got home from FLA and am dealing with shit as well.
I came home to nothing but headaches- including work shit, girl drama, an IRS letter that scared the shit out of me, and still has me shitting soup. To top it all off, last night I had a fucking earthquake that rumbled my house .

I am packing my shit up, and heading south tonight to relax in San Diego
I am over LA, porn, and just about everything right now.

I am sure Monday I will be back to being the happy KB I usually am, but right now I have the post tradeshow depression thing happening.
