Well, I'm not sure how "innocent" every person that has died in this war has been. Like I said before, arguing with you is like arguing with a broken record. You see your opinions and "facts" as the only way possible instead of thinking about a point the person you are arguing has made. I did answer your question. You are comparing one thing to another that is completely different. Seeing a threat and attacking it conventionaly is completely different than a nuclear war. If you aren't able to have a conversation, i.e. see more than just your opinion, then you should say that and save everyone a lot of time.

What about the conflicts that the US has had to come in to in order to save another country? What about the times where the US was asked to help? Jesus! Whether or not the study about how many civilians died is even a completely legitmate study, the fact that this many civilians died is still skewed. A good majority of civilians died because the "bad guys" in Iraq use them as cover. Like storying missles and bombs in a hospital or a school. You take one part of a conversation and play out the way you think I would go and then believe it. Amazing. And Iraq did have missles stored in a hospital. At no point in any of the post's have I said anything remotely negative towards muslims. My honest opinion is that I don't hold stock in any organized religion, but I don't object to other people's beliefs. And the people we are fighting are not the muslims, but the jihads, the radical muslims. The average muslims are peaceful people, but like every religion, there are radicals.

That timeline/track record seems to have been forgotten in the middle of a swamp of media propaganda

BTW... Same situation, different location. It was the same with another terrorist org - the IRA. Ireland was abused for decades by the UK govt and suffered badly. That planted the seeds of revolt/revenge and developed into the modern-day IRA.

Also relevant is that the IRA like a few other "terrorists" ended up sitting at a conference table and negotiation a peace process. One day... whenever that may be, - it is probable the same situation will happen with the Middle East/US, - but - there is the learning process to go thru yet and that could take decades.

That is his elected "work area" - nothing wrong with that. The purpose is to highlight problem areas in society - and there are plenty of them.

The one person who originated the "social documentary" was John Grierson and he covered many subjects in a post WW2 time. He was never "hated" and labelled by total dumbasses on an agenda - his criticism resulted in actual improvements and he is well-respected.

The US didn't break international law. We enforced international law, 11 years of defiance of the UN by Saddam Hussein.

Thank goodness GWB had the balls to step in. Maybe someday Iraq will be at peace. I am not a religious man, but I pray for it.
