as far as me watching MTV.... I don't, and yes, they do suck. I virtually never watch tv, but with all the talk of the wild freak show shit about it here on the board, I just had to see it for myself.

Springsteen shoulda stayed gone. I never liked his shit before and I like it even less now.

Maybe Shakira CAN sing, I don't know... I never heard one of her studio tracks, and I'm guessing last night probably wasn't a good example of her stuff, so I'll cut her some slack for now....

Yes, Mick Jagger and Keith Richard's were once considered the bad boys of Rock-n-Roll because they wrote songs about drug use and sex.

Publicity works... of course, Colin.... my problem with eminem is that he's extremely BAD at it.... he's not convincing.... he's not *tough*.... he's not *bad*... he's a fuckin' punk fuckstick.... he actually looked rattled for real by Moby when he was doing the "I WILL hit a man with glasses" bit...... which tells me he takes himself far too seriously and probably believes his own bullshit.... and that's a perfect formula for a hard downfall.

He's a fuckin' punk ass kid that wants desperately to be black. If it wasn't for Dr. Dre, he would STILL be nobody today. Why Dre ever chose to take that idiot under his wing, I'll never know.... I don;t give a shit about rap enough to go looking for that answer.

I will say that his tunes do have a certain kind of a cool sound to them, but ya know..... that ain't eminem... he ain't unique or fuckin' special.. studio technology can make pretty much anyone sound like a fuckin' god nowdays.... same as we can Photoshop ugly people into pornstars....

Check billboard Top40 for 15,20 years ago and you will realize that it sucked just as bad as it does now.

What you remember are the good bands/artist that YOU listened to because you made the effort to find them.

And its still just like that, Commercial Crap is just that, crap, but the REAL band/artist are out there... you just need to dig a little...
