Publicity works... of course, Colin.... my problem with eminem is that he's extremely BAD at it.... he's not convincing.... he's not *tough*.... he's not *bad*... he's a fuckin' punk fuckstick.... he actually looked rattled for real by Moby when he was doing the "I WILL hit a man with glasses" bit...... which tells me he takes himself far too seriously and probably believes his own bullshit.... and that's a perfect formula for a hard downfall.
He's a fuckin' punk ass kid that wants desperately to be black. If it wasn't for Dr. Dre, he would STILL be nobody today. Why Dre ever chose to take that idiot under his wing, I'll never know.... I don;t give a shit about rap enough to go looking for that answer.
I will say that his tunes do have a certain kind of a cool sound to them, but ya know..... that ain't eminem... he ain't unique or fuckin' special.. studio technology can make pretty much anyone sound like a fuckin' god nowdays.... same as we can Photoshop ugly people into pornstars....
