I've had an H2 for 3 years, 50K miles on it. Never had 1 problem with anything. Pulls like a champ, i've pulled 12K+ pounds with it with out much stress at all. I get 11mpg average, better on highway ofcourse. Big SUVs like Suburbans etc... don't get much better then 11mpg, so you might as well bitch about the 13 - 14mpg vehicles while you are bitching about the 11mpg since there really isn't much difference there. Living in an area that floods I like the ground clearance and the fact I could go through about 4ft of water with out it stalling. I also use the 4 wheel drive which has saved me in more then a few occassions. It basically pulls almost as good as a Dually Diesel Truck but I still have the luxuary of a nice SUV.
Unlike most people I use mine and I never wash it. It is more of a work vehicle. I like when I go to the caddy/hummer dealer for oil changes, they all get a kick at how dirty it is. Everyone else that brings them in looks like they never went off road with them. To each thier own. I think it is kinda sad to hate on vehicle, nothing better to do with your time ? Let's go start a thread about motocycles, loud as shit, can't stand when they rev up the engine and you can't hear youself think 3 blocks away... na I think i will leave them along as I have better things to do with my time. |

I love my my h2 - best car i've had! most fun i've had! and most likely I will get another one when my lease is up :pimp gas doesn't bother me i enjoy off-roading with it size is perfect power is great all you jeep owners and haters can kiss my dick :winkwink: I take my H2 to the rocks, dirt, mud, and go everywhere I want to go, then stop at a car wash, then still pimp it at the clubs and on the streets with my 22's - try doing that with you gay ass jeeps. :pimp:pimp:pimp:pimp:pimp:pimp hate away bitches :upsidedow :pimp |
I've had an H1 and an H2. A few corvettes and BMWs. A few real race cars, some other toys as well.
I grew out of that shit. Once you race a $7500 gokart that will blow away anything else you've driven, you'll realize that cars arent nearly as fascinating as you once thought they were. That and I've driven 14,000 miles in the past two years so I dont see the point in spending the money on shit like that anymore or paying the insurance on it. I currently drive a 2005 Ford F150 FX4 that gets 11 miles per gallon, and I only need to fill it up every 3 or 4 weeks. I bought it brand new 2 years ago and I'll probably keep it till it has at least 60k miles which should take another six and a half years at the current rate. |

no worries here I can afford it. Most of the people bitching in here probably average at best 22mpg vs my 11 mpg So i put 15,000 miles a year and burn 1363 gallons vs your 681 gallons. You spend $2,000 a year in gas I spend $4,000. Its all relative. I don't have any and wont have any kids. My foot print on this earth will be much smaller then yours even if you drive a hybrid if you going to have 3 or 4 kids... moral of the story, don't breed if you really want to save the earth. You will be doing more damage than me in my H2. |
I don't care for them at all... What is the best American made SUV????

We own an H2, had it for a year and a half. I have to say it is a bit of a piece of shit. I don't know if we just got lucky with this one, or if it is indicative of issues with the H2, but a new truck going back to the dealer 10 times in one year is a bit much. We drove an H3 as a replacement while ours was being fixed...good god that thing is a joke. It is a glorified Jeep with a Hummer logo on it. Granted Hummer did a fabulous job of marketing it, because now those who cannot afford an H2 can still say they own a Hummer. As far as the H1 we considered buying one, but for the money they wanted, we could buy 6 Pinzgauers and ride in better comfort. I cannot imagine spending that much money on a car that does not even have leather fucking seats. Granted it was cool to drive and made you want to run into things, but that is a whole other story...
|
i find it weird that they actually run on gas. My opinion is that a hummer with it's size and need for torque should be a deisel moter. Running them on gas is just a waste.
|
i always hated hummers till i found a gal who was good at it.

I chuckle when I remember the video of some dumbass who took his brand new H2 up a steep slope in the woods and nearly snapped his wheel off on a large root.
H2 aren't Hummers, they are remodeled Tahoe/Yukon. |

And seriously, I love your photog work and you seem like a cool guy. But it definitely seems like you talk alot of B.S. about your 40k Tahoe. I'm just calling you out on that. :winkwink: |
I would never buy an H2 but dont give a fuck if someone else has one, different strokes, blah blah. I had a tahoe and my buddy had an H2. Not sure if it was because of the smaller windows in the hummer but my buddys H2 seemed a hell of a lot smaller in the interior. Now i drive a silverado because unlike the tahoe, I can haul dirt, atv's, portable ice house, etc in the back.

Update, I took a little 180 mile trip last night. 90% highway driving. I averaged 58 mph over the course of about 2 hours . I burned 13 gallons approx, it came out to 13.8 mpg I burned. Really not that bad, right up there with other big SUV's and Dully trucks, 8 cylinder cars, etc..

I'd love to do some serious off roading in one of them. Pushing a vehicle to the limits would be fun. I'm just a big kid inside.
|
Jeep guys love to pick on the h2, the luxury 4x4 of hummers.. and yet they ignore the Humvee, which simple owns a Jeep's ass.

I'm not a hummer hater, but I think it's weird to see suburban moms taking their kids to school in their H2s now.
