breaking news from epassporte.

official response to my inquiry.

"There are a few small banks out there that are refusing to do business with ePassporte as they think we are a gaming site. We obviously are not. We have a handful of poker clients that use our services but we do not deal with any sportsbooks or casino sites. We are not involved in any illegal practices and we are not putting our clients at risk."
Shaliza Somani <[email protected]>

-------------------------

"We have a handful of poker clients that use our services but we do not deal with any sportsbooks or casino sites." whats a poker client? LOL

i have first hand knowledge of this being completly 100% false, and i know for a fact they are sending out canned replies to others basically saying the same thing LYING about their involvment in gaming.

partypoker is the biggest one out there and i used epass to gamble with. and a hand full of other sites. besides that fact, she goes to confirm they infact do business with gaming sites.

fuck you.

p.s. EpicCash doesnt use epass, your money iss safely sent to you via check or wire.

we pay 37 a sale too!

The way I see it with epassporte and poker sites is that Epass is a non US based company and non US people should be allowed to use them to play poker. But im pretty sure US people use them too though ^^

US people do use them and its illegal. thats the whole point of this, epass does nothing to stop it, or does very little, ill put it that way. thus putting us all at risk. affiliates and programs alike.

i love epass, but when you get 10k payments they disabled your acount, even if you have been with epass for 2+ years, which is silly, especially when the sponsor is a well known sponsor sending the payments

You have to send in a copy of a ID. They don't actually disable your account just freeze the funds till you have complied right?

I always withdraw my epass money, almost never leave over $1k there for more than a few days

why does anyone need to verify their info after already confirming they own the bank account attached to them by confirming the amounts deposited by epass. like a fucking fake ID isnt going to get passed them?

i think its to collect on the intrest longer.

I'm willing to join up with some partner(s) to get a new payment system setup. Been pondering this idea for a few yrs...

1. top notch security (secure info)
2. easy deposits / withdrawls
3. Modest fees
4. Transparency is important
5. atm card / with visa / mc logo for normal point of sale purchases
6. No gaming, risky sites....

Always willing to talk with serious people.

Thanks

Todd

Well that's the perspective we were missing. Thanks for clearing that up.

EC is for US only. You might want to let webmasters outside the US know that you don't support them (I guess you just did).

Epass might not work for some, but it certainly seems to work for others.

I think choices like that are best left to the affiliates to figure out for themselves... removing an option of payment that a lot of people depend on does seem like shooting yourself in the foot... but I guess that's your call to make.

If you don't wan't your non U.S. affiliates, though, we'll sure as hell take them.

It's a Global Economy, after all.

Sounds good - let's chat soon.

There are alot of options here..

The business plan in it's basics are real simple - a paypal type system for adult. Some starting limits and then after id / passport, etc checks limits are raised.. You pretty much have to do some checks re: the patriot act.. Always better to follow regs and laws and have a long lasting company then to skirt the laws and get the hammer... I am a long relationship type of person...

Co branding of cards, sponsor programs can pay for this option.

A points program like most of my cc's have... Gifts, cash rewards, etc, etc

Excellent 24 / 365 day a yr customer service. That is a must when growing an operation / company of this size.... Even if you don't have 24/365 phone / voice support - you gotta at least have email / backend support.

If visa usa / and most 3rd party billers check out your sites before you can process visa - mabey a new company would think of doing the same... Not sure on this but the less risk for the company and webmasters the better...

Adult is changing guys and gals... gold rush is over...

LoL, won't forget but seriously - were in a multi billion dollar industry - I don't mind thinking of and coming up with perks, etc..

Not trying to be a ccbill, epoch, etc, etc but a good 3rd party / secondary option for making payments, paying webmasters, etc, in this industry...

It looks like epass is going to go down the neteller path eventually. Limiting withdrawls keeps them in the black, the more they get to keep.

lol, honestly - you think people would trust a service like epassporte with you involved?

you've been fucking on webcam, right?
you've been to prison, right?
you've been a drug addict, right?

and now people should trust you with their money - that's kind of funny (and it even rhymes)

but what do i know, i'm just 3rd world euro trash

For those (especially 3rd world included) open-minded enough to understand the difference between arbitrary business rules of a sponsor (who does not have the resources to bank outside of a problem), and a global view of the "problem":

the sky is NOT falling

When I first saw these posts I thought that there was some writing on the wall about ePass. But it is obvious now that the writing on the wall is more about sponsors who don't get or care about the value of ePass for affiliates.

incorrect. Please consider the existance of poker rooms in places like Los Angeles. They exist because courts have ruled that poker is NOT a game of chance - but a combination of random elements, skill, etc. You don't have to have the best hand to win.

Roulette is gambling. Slot machines are gambling. Poker is a game, sport, whatever you want to call it. Please, use google and look it up, you will find th California ruling. It is very important.

So what if a couple of small sponsors drop epassporte, as long as the major sponsors keep offering epass payments I'm fine.

Exactly. The smart sponsors are going to realize that dropping ePass is NOT an option, and they will figure out how to stay competitive.

But when sponsors literally trash global opportunities, their short sightedness should not be surprising.

It's global scammers, spammers and thieves as well.

Yes, flame me for this post, there are certainly many honest webmasters using epass but unfortunately, this kind of payment attracts way too many idiots.

Stolen content, illegal content, fishy companies that appear and disappear...it's a long list.

I really miss the times when payment was wire or check only and actual letters were send by domain registrars.

dont be so naive. a post on gfy gets about as much attention as your mom on the corner. it isnt going to cost me anything to lose your 30 hits a year.
