playing Solitaire for money?
So I had some downtime and was playing a game of Solitaire and then I started thinking "man I'm pretty good at this, I wonder if I could do it for money"...... I've thought about it before but I had assumed that it was illegal with the new laws regarding online gambling............ so I did some search and I found this website moneygaming.com where you can play a variety of games for money including Solitaire........... so first question, is this for real? is it legal? and what other options are there?

You can play for money, you buy in for the 52 cards, then you get money back for every card that goes up on the top row. This is why the solitaire games have the Vegas option to show how much you would make or lose.

Google is your friend
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Gambling-...aire-vegas.htm .."To my knowledge, no legitimate casino in the country currently offers wagers on the game of solitaire. That is not to say it was never offered. I have heard people talk about playing it in the 60's in Nevada, but they never actually played themselves... they only talk about hearing about it! Back in the late 1890's, a man by the name of Richard Canfield ran a gambling establishment in Saratoga, NY. It was not entirely legitimate, and law enforcement sort of looked the other way. Canfield did offer the game. The player bought a deck of cards for $52, and received $5 for every card which could be played on the Aces. No doubt the rumors of solitaire in Vegas persist because of software versions of solitaire offering "Vegas Style Solitaire." Hope this helps.".. |

They are games of skills so I would assume its legal, poker is legal to play in the US (only a few states where it is not). There is even a PAY PAL option to deposit. You wont see that on poker sites.
If you are really scared ask a lawyer. ![]()

I play solitaire on my PDA ... in vegas mode
I'd never play it for real money, because I always end up far in the red LOL well if i'm lucky you can go like 100-150 in plus in the very beginning what sucks is you can't keep going through the deck of cards over and over again, there's a limit of like 3-4 times (never really paid attention to how many times hehe) I'd totally recommend to play a simulation first, no matter how good you think you're at it.
