I don't understand affiliate reps sometimes.

Got an email from one today. It is obvious that he does not understand the relationship we have with his company, but wouldn't it help if he used an email address that I could respond to, instead of [email protected]?

Why so many people prefer PPS instead of partnership? If the site rebills well, partnership could bring more money than PPS (eve if it's $40). Personally I prefer to work with sponsors by partnership scheme. Actually I don't believe in fair $40 PPS at all...

Because it is the only thing that works with this particular business model.

If you rebill so well, you should be happy to get out for a mere $40.

Absolutely correct, but... some sites rebill like crazy, but others - not really well (sad but true). That's why it's not a good solution to spread PPS on a whole affiliate program

So I don't believe all the sponsors that offer $40 have such a great rebilling ratios on ALL their sites. That's makes me think there is no fair $40 PPS, especially if these programs have no cross-sailing system inside their paysite member areas...

BTW, as about the partnership model. If you work on 70% revshare, so 1 signup + 1 rebill (which is not a big deal actually) will bring you 29.95*0.7*2 = $42 Course not all programs offer up to 70% partnership, but some do

So offer PPS to your affiliates and keep the $29.95*2 yourself while you just paid $40 to your affiliate. You're making no sence now.

If they keep recycling the same people over and over this is the result. There is a reason these people flamed out at their previous 10 stops. I truly believe most of these companies would be better served brining in someone with a strong sales and customer service background and molding them from there, instead of the same idiots dragging their baggage and bad habits from place to place.

I received an email today that had the same [email protected]. I noticed some other sponsors emails have this too. I hit reply and wrote the person back. He replied within an hour. There's usually an email address that follows the [email protected]. Something like [email protected], [email protected].

if you can't handle cheaters, you shouldn't be running a program

PPS brings a ton more fraud as well. A large factor on why many people I know will only offer PPS to trusted affiliates after time.

The problem is some of these people aren't computer people, and don't understand the basics of how Al Gore's interweb works. As our industry grows it attracts "outsiders" - people who came into the industry only because they needed a job. We'll see more and more people who aren't qualified to work at - Gasp - Wendy's.

Short term thinkers. I make WAAAAY more on revshare than I ever did on ANY PPS program, BUT the site has to be a good one. If you spend the time to pick the right sites, you are nuts to want PPS.

I have some sites where I only use PPS and others where I only use Rev. Depends on a few different factors. However, I will never solely stick to only use PPS or only using Rev for every sponsor.

Agreed. The reason I use PPS where I do is very obvious to the companies I do it with.

Quiet often these kind of bugs in big companies are due to miscommunication between different departments, that's why I hate large companies

Kind of simple really, PPS is guaranteed cash. A site MAY convert, it may not. I can't tell until AFTER I've send them sales. I suppose if your traffic source is FREE then it doesn't fucking matter. Those of us that pay a pretty penny on traffic can't afford a MAYBE converts. Maybe if sponsors would put a stat showing how many of my trials converted to monthlys then I'd have some data to go on.

In reality a sponsor would have to pay out 65% revershare and convert at least 70% trials to monthly then renew at least 70% of those every month for me to come out significantly better to switch. Show me a sponsor that can do that with PROOF and I'll sign up under you affiliate code.
