Thanks..... and ya I'm just using vitamin E on it and it seems to be fine..... not sure how many artists you know in Costa Rica, but hey, if you do, feel free to pass me the info

vitamin e oil in a concentrated form might not be the greatest idea on what is essentially a wound. i would really suggest sticking with a simple moisturizing lotion like lubriderm.

and i'll ask around about costa rica. there is someone good in every area. line work is really important. overtime tattoos age and the ones that look the best after time goes by are the ones done by people who can truly call themselves tattoo artists. they know how to put clean lines on the body. every guy that can draw is not a tattooer, you know? it's def a skill. lines are so important. i have a mermaid on my right forearm that i got done at the studio where they filmed Inked for A&E. the guy took four hours doing it because he wanted the lines to be perfect.

anna, can you give me some good recommendations for shops in LA/San Diego, getting my next piece done there within the next month. ive had all my other work done in boston.

Dude, I forgot you were in Costa. I just had a tattoo done by http://www.tattooarteprimitivo.com/ in San pero. The guy has like 15+ years experience, learned in the states and does an awesome job. All the lines are super crisp on my work. He's 50 meters south of the jazz cafe in San Pedro.

I hear ya buddy...i guess my point was that tribal designs and something like barbed-wire arm bands (or arm bands of any kind) are common and trendy. Most people that get them, just get them to "try to be cool" or just for the sake of getting a tattoo (not saying that you are one of them).

But you're right...as long as you're happy with it, that's really all that matters. But I would definitely try to get the lines straightened out a bit

Oh ya? I got this done by one of the guys at Stattoos, near Mall San Pedro.... he did say to come back in in a week and he'd be happy to touch up anything I didn't like, so maybe I'll ask him to clean up the lines....
