You're right. The photos were taken on different days. The first pic was by his cell phone camera. The subsequent pics were taken with a digital camera borrowed from his friend.

I've heard the 'it's fake! it's photochopped!' but I haven't read any technical data to back it up.

Particulate matter can be used but isn't definitive. All we can say about these kinds of photos nowadays is that if we cannot definitively say they're manipulated, then we say they're of a real environment with objects and if it is fake, it's very, very good. The latter often to much of a copp out.
