NO MORE EPASSPORTE as an affiliate payout option...wtf?!
I found out one of my sponsors (i'll let them mention them self) is no longer offering epass as a payout option and had to change my info. I was told via icq, "We don't offer epassporte anymore. In a few months no American program will. Epass has been red flagged by the Dept of Homeland Security and no banks want to go near it." How true is this? In a few months? Please give us some insight on this so we can start changing our payout option now before it's too late. I'm glad i joined Moneybookers when i did.

				 | Well, they were going to look into Moneybookers as a payout option but i don't think they'll get it: Moneybookers does NOT accept merchants from the following industries: * Adult/erotic * Pharmaceuticals * Tobacco * Firearms * Unlicenced downloads

				 | Maybe US based sponsors will stop offering it, but what does epass have to do with anything else? If you have a debit card thru them, then i see no problems.

Rest assured - even Homeland Security have no clue about red flags - and if they did - they would not have a clue about where to start Seriously... epass have elected to follow a path which involves gaming - the reason is obvious and the economics exceed that of the adult biz. Where that may take them - hell knows. There are too many variables which can flow one way or the other - but doubt epass will be in the same "format" in the next 24 months.

				 | I believe a trusted sponsor...especially one i've known since damn near his startup. Actually i know at least two, now big, sponsor since damn-near their startup. I've had them on my icq since...like...forever. I have no reason NOT to trust them when they give me info that will affect all sponsors and the way business is done.

				 | Nope...far from it...i've pulled Moneybookers from my sig for one thing and couldn't edit my post after looking deeper into their site. Now i remember why i never used them. Sorry to burst your thought bubble. I prefer epassporte over ALL other payout options.

				 | would not surprise me that epass get into troubles in the near future. Basically, they propose a service that virtually allows anyone to make black money and not pay taxes to the states... when you do not pay your taxes, this is when you get into trouble, especially in the US... so, just like they did for the gambling industry, i would not be surprised they would do it for epass and all those types of B2B payments methods - not to mention the fact that epass is located in the Netherlands Antillas, offshore jurisdiction... |

				 | I don't want to sound like an asshole, but if no sponsor would offer epassporte, we'd get rid of alot of shady programs and shady affiliates instantly. I'm not saying people using epass are doing questionable business in general, but it would be foolish to assume that epass doesn't attract those who have something to hide... |

On the legal thing - if there is an interest - they are not in a hurry. It takes time to do the groundwork and build a case - and an chance of more rope being available during that time. Can think of one case - nothing whatsoever to do with ePass, which has been operational for about 3 years and still widening to encompass more "bodies" before a "hit" - so, basically time means little.

				 | Well to be honest I would be glad if the whole adult industry would move on to something else then epassporte. Ive been trying for 3 weeks now opening a business account.. Just no response from them. If I call I get an operator saying i need to call a different number which when I call is non existing.. I'm really not that big fan of epassporte due to very bad support..

LOL how do you think the debit card will work in the US if no banks will touch them? Not to mention that the programs wont be able to load any money via bank wires, which means no payment from US companies if it's true. IMO I've been kind of expecting this to happen, epass thinks they are safe from the US anti gambling laws because they are off shore. So they go ahead and accept money from US customers and process it for online gambling companies. Well anyone with half a brain will figure out epass is going to get canned sooner or later by the US banks. Doesn't mean I support the US law, but just takes only a little bit of common sense to figure out what has happened to all the other "off shore" payment processors whom tried to do the same thing they are doing. I just wonder WTF epass is actually thinking.. is it really worth losing all your US customers just to process for gambling sites? Ironically I'm betting most of the users whom are using epass for gambling are probably US citizens. So when johnny law decides to stick it to them by stopping the banks from funding them.. well they are going to be losing a hell of a lot of business. I seriously can't believe they are that damn dumb, but then again.. I've talked to their support staff on the phone before so who knows.

				 | its no surprise that there is alot going on with epass. let it play out. everyone is hearing alot of things behind the scenes, most of the time when you hear stuff like that about 5% of it is true. i still wish ccbill would step up and smack an ewallet program out of the park. |
