What the hell is thumbs.db ?????

i'm switching server for some of my sites and i'm finding a file named "thumbs.db" since I have no idea where it comes from
I erase it, but when I upload the sites it re appears????
anyone has ever seen this???

thumbs.db is created by WinXP when you view a folder with pics in thumbnail form in Windoze Explorer.

I'm pretty sure its WinXP doing that... I see that alot when I upload a whole folder with FTP..

I've had one of those fuckers be 16 mb on a big folder..

I just delete them.

yeah I got it now
everytime I view a folder with the "thumbnail" view, it creates a thumbs.db file in the folder.
since I was checking all my site's folders to make sure I don't upload anything "useless" I created 9 MB of useless files.
what a waste of time

If you place your files into a zip folder you get the thumbs.db file. You can delete it by entering the zip folder and choosing to delete the file. It is a pain in the ass cause it can sometimes be a large file.
