I met a man in internet. He seems really cute to me, I spend all my free time chatting with him. It happened 2 years ago, and now I think I am in love. He wants me to come visit him (he lives 700 miles away).
Already bought a ticket, took vacation and promised him what I?ll arrive at 1st may. I am not sure - should I do that? I am so afraid to be dissapointed!

Well, you've already made up your mind, so my advice is just be careful. Start by meeting in public places, trust your instincts about the guy. If something feels off, just keep it friendly, and set boundaries.

I met someone from the 'net with romantic intentions just once, and I have no regrets about it, but I was careful to spend my time in public places at first, and get a feel for the personality. Oh, and as for being dissapointed, it's a possibility. My suggestion is go in without any specific expectations, clean slate, and take your meeting at face value. Maybe he's not what you expected, but you end up having a nice time. Anything can happen, but every time someone has a rigid expectation, dissapointment isn't far behind. So be flexible (figuratively).
