I think it was a lot of things but I still don't get why it's ok to abuse drugs that are prescribed as they are IMO sometimes worse that "street" drugs. I don't know I get a lot of flack cuz I smoke pot but if the Dr. gives you pain killers and stuff it's ok.

they ruled out drugs already? thought it takes weeks before they get all the toxicology results back. if she died of something straight forward like a heart attack or pneumonia wouldn't they have announced that by now?

I'd be guessing methadone - it takes weeks to get a accurate diagnosis of overdose if the evidence isn't clear at the start, like finding a needle in the arm or pills in the stomach.

Most peopel who die from opiate "overdoses" actually die from breathing their own vomit while in a semicomatose state.

Well, usually they are profoundly unconscious at that point, so they probably don't experience any pain or anxiety. Peopel rescued from that state usually have no memory of it at all.

It depends a lot on the dose they've taken. And exactly which opiate it is.

Fentanyl is strong enough to suppress the ability to breath directly.
