I'd be guessing methadone - it takes weeks to get a accurate diagnosis of overdose if the evidence isn't clear at the start, like finding a needle in the arm or pills in the stomach.

Most peopel who die from opiate "overdoses" actually die from breathing their own vomit while in a semicomatose state.
