This does not surprise me. Haven't you guys seen Jay walking on the tonight show? Also, 80% of Americans polled over the age 60 don't know what year 9/11 happend. We have been dumbed down on purpose. We've gone from the most loved to the most hated nation. We got fat, dumb and happy. Oh, and that last guy said Bush is from Texas...That's false...he's a carpet bagger from Maine. He's also admittedly affraid of horses.

Anyone ever heard of stagefright?

Imagine standing on the street minding your own business and someone with a video camera starts shooting you and asking questions. If it was Jay Leno it might even be worse because of the star factor. I used to think I could answer any of the questions they threw at the "idiots" on Jaywalking, but after I thought about it for a bit, chances are I and a lot of people that know the answers would get a couple wrong under the pressure as well. Then they'd sit and home, watch it, and wonder, "How the fuck did I get that wrong? I KNOW that."

Don't get me wrong, I have little doubt that many of those just didn't know the answers, but I also have NO doubt that some of them were just nervous as hell.

The most frightening segment to me was all of the people who would blindly support their President in attacking a country they'd never even heard of, based on nothing more than the President's word because, "He's from Texas, he must be right" or "I like President Bush, so I'd have to say yeah (I'd support him)".

I'm an American and I has no troubles with any of his questions.. knew the answers to all of them. The only thing that would have fooled me was him saying he was the pres of Australia.

I'm sure I wouldn't have believed him, but honestly I have no clue who he is or do I care.

Also LMAO at the guy who said Germany as a member of the Axis of Evil..

Some people do tend to slip into an insular existance living their own little self-involved life with no thought to what's going on around them. Hey, it happens.

I once saw one of these impromptu on-the-street question things (maybe Leno, years ago?) and one of the questions was "When was the war of 1812?".... and amazingly enough, several people couldn't answer that question.

Astounding.
