This is worth watching. I've never doubted the widespread stupidity of people in general and of course, this guy focused on the weakest of the species...but GODDAMN people!??!? :disgust

I think the point is that they probably had to sift through hours of footage to create that one piece....the people that got those right probably far outweighs the people that got them wrong

OK.. It's a comedy show and designed to have people laughing at the stupidity of others and sure does not represent an "average".

But... it's still frightening if you assume the filming to final cut ratio was 10:1 - that suggest around 10% silly replies, but prob more likely to be around 20:1 and with a 5% ratio of idiots - tho questionable that anyone would spend time on a 20:1 ratio - so who knows?

No doubt...in fact, this makes me want to strap on a suit, grab a camera and head to a few foreign countries to put something like this together. Imagine the responses to these questions in the UK, Australia, Ireland and Scotland. Shit, 15 minutes in front of an Irish pub on a Saturday night would yield some priceless footage. With a good wig, a little make up and a convincing security team, I bet I could get 20 people to buy that I'm George W. The mis-labeled map was a useful tool, I bet I could have them pinning "nuke 'em" pins on China and the Hawaiian islands.

But I acknowledged in my opening post that they chose the weakest of the species and represented these people as "average" Americans. The damnable hell of it is that natural selection hasn't kicked in yet to clean out the shallow end of the gene pool. We can just hope the combination of the impending economic crash, global warming, alien abductions and un-educated use of firearms combine to kill of enough of these people to raise the collective IQ a bit.

I hate watching video like that. I do not know how they manage to find so many stupid people. I see them do segments on Jay Leno were they ask people on the street questions. No one knew what the name of the galaxy we live in is and they could not name the vice president. Those are basic questions everyone in the US should know.

Strangely enough though, people from so many countries around the world come to or are sent to the USA to attend their colleges and universities every year. Interesting that the country most laughed at and ridiculed for "stupidity" is also one of the most popular destinations for those seeking higher learning.
