The hard drive is a 10,000 rpm Raptor, not a normal 7,200 rpm drive. So you both might right.

I just made my own external hard drive with a raptor sata drive, its pretty damn fast...

Recently using a Core2Duo and an SATA2 drive it definately took more than 6 minutes. My motherboard is quad compatible, so maybe in a few months..
