StuBradley 01-28-2007 09:23 PM

Yeah...I can rip a dvd in about 7 minutes. Not if its compressed though. What processor do you have? It sounds nice.

That's some mad shit there!

Like someone else said, I thought the harddrive would have been a bottle neck. Good to know.

Kard63 01-28-2007 09:43 PM

The hard drive is a 10,000 rpm Raptor, not a normal 7,200 rpm drive. So you both might right.

NoWhErE 01-28-2007 09:49 PM

Wow, Notepad must open damn fast on that computer!

V_RocKs 01-30-2007 12:29 AM

It isn't just the Quad core... it is also the higher frontside bus and SATA connection for IDE...

lorine 01-31-2007 04:21 PM

That is fast. Very fast indeed ! What about Vista ? How long does it take to install Vista ? . I`m curious !

datatank 01-31-2007 04:22 PM

What is better a quad core or two dual cores?

Jim_Gunn 01-31-2007 04:48 PM

I haven't read much about newer computer processors, but quadcore sounds neat. I might need one of these for video encoding.

fuzzylogic 01-31-2007 04:53 PM

buddyjuf 02-01-2007 12:09 AM

I just installed a core 2 duo on mine

and I'm jealous :(

ungratefulninja 02-01-2007 12:43 AM

Recently using a Core2Duo and an SATA2 drive it definately took more than 6 minutes. My motherboard is quad compatible, so maybe in a few months..

calibra 02-01-2007 12:54 AM

Six minutes to install XP sounds pretty fantastic to me.

Vitasoy 02-01-2007 03:35 AM

Sounds like a bad ass machine

Jakke PNG 02-01-2007 04:01 AM

Too bad the quadcore wasn't available in October when I ordered my computer. My dual-dualcore xeon has as many processors as one of those beauties (and I bet my machine is a LOT LOT LOT noisier ;))

leming 02-01-2007 04:21 AM

Incredible results!

JP-pornshooter 02-01-2007 10:51 AM

i run two pcs, one older just for batch processing etc..which is on its last days, an old athlon 750, so its time to put together a new machine, any suggestions ? dont need the fastest, but reliable for PS and adobe premiere..
