Badoink are bad news

Netpond has banned Badoink and refunded all sponsor revenues they paid to us as we feel the the Company are a bunch of cunts that are the pits of the adult industry.

Fuck you!

Wow thats some serious shit.

Found some of our content on there too. Whoever bills for them is just as guilty as the wankers who use our stolen content to form these p2p style paysites.

If you own a paysite you might wanna check whether your content is being used on there.

There have been threads about it both here and on np. Surely you couldn't have missed them. You were all over the threads and working them hard before people started raising concerns and then all of a sudden the vanishing act.

How many times have we seen this pattern of behaviour repeated over the years.

Yes I did read it and I am seeing a bunch of hating going on so let me explain what kind of product we offer:

Our application is essentially a paysite within an application interface. We offer DVD downloads, clip downloads, live chat, etc... just like pretty much every other paysite out there. We have licenses to all content we host.

Our software also connects to peer to peer networks such as gnutella where people can find content hosted by users on other p2p networks. It is essentially a search engine. We do not allow sharing of any content, rather the software only connects to and searches what is already available on other p2p networks.

I hope this explains what it is our product actually does and I am happy to answer any other questions you may have.

As far as Lord Aga's statments, I have not been notified by Netpond with any refunds or anything as of writing this. I am happy to speak to the Netpond staff directly and they know how to reach me.

Every program could simply include a P2P download program as well.

Why dont they?

Thats the main thing right there. Why dont they?

let's pretend like you are that stupid, but just for a minute

If playboy and hustler spend a buttload of money on their content, then all the sudden someone comes along and provides users with access to that content for a $30 month fee with having any license rights to the content, don't you think Hustler and Playboy will be a little upset?

hmmm Ill read all this in the morning. Im off to bed. Sounds to me like they are using distributed p2p network to get rid of their bandwidth costs, but it also allows access to all the p2p networks also. Nothing different than what you can see with limewire etc etc. I wouldnt put it in a guba category just yet.

Why in the fuck would the software also connect to p2p to find other content?

Badoink is a p2p tool that is masquerading as a 'honest' company.

There are many reasons why I think other programs don't do it.

Aside from the technical obstacles, most adult websites focus on content. On a normal tour you see big boobs and blondes sucking on some big cock. A site promises all sorts of hot sexy hardcore action. Once a user joins, well that's a whole other story as we all know... It is rare that the website actually focuses on the user's usability experience.

This is where we wanted to step in and really make a difference. We focus on content delivery. This is why we decided to put our paysite into an application rather than just putting up some pics and videos on a webpage. We tried to focus on the entire experience of the user.

We DO NOT steal anyone's content. We bought licenses and host many movies from many different producers, but we also wanted to make that content easy to download so we added a download manager. We also wanted to make sure people were able to view the movies in full screen in a convenient way, so we added a video player.

Technology is always changing and this evolution spawns new business models. The adult industry has a great history of embracing new technologies not trying to ignore them.

This might be too abstract a point for some of you haters out there, so go ahead and have fun. I'm sure you'll gain some posts counts of out this. So plug away those sigs.

jerjer, answer this with a yes or no

are you providing your users with access to p2p networks to find OTHER content that you did not buy rights to?

Makes me think of a funny (in an ironic way) scenario: the companies who have legally licensed their content to badoink may also be fucked by them as their s/w enables surfers to share and download same. Wouldn't it be fun if they licensed 10 movies then found that another 50 were available via p2p?

you are on the chopping block here buddy, there isn't time to be a smart ass

fact is, the thread starter found his OWN content using your p2p tool, when in fact you didn't buy the rights to use that content

apparently their users can not share, only download

but yes, the people that licensed the videos to them are in for a shock when they find out badoink is allowing their users to access the p2p networks and download the other 20 volumes of a series that badoink only has 10 volumes licensed

Jace,

We connect to other p2p networks that are accessible by almost every ohter p2p application available. We do not host any of this content.

I honestly don't think anything I say is going to "change you mind" since you have already decided that I am in the wrong.

If anyone has questions for me they are free to contact me directly.

so, as long as you don't host it, it is all right to charge people to access it?

you have got to be the stupidest content thief in years

The issue, which you don't seem to be able to grasp, is that you're introducing surfers to a product that will diminish the value of licensed content and indirectly affect revenues of content providers - the very guys who you're doing business with. They'll figure it out sooner or later, and all you'll be left with is a P2P client and a few remaining shitty licensed movies.

So basically you also agree by that logic, that I could start a paysite. Have some guy browse through all porn forums, blogs and sites that list rapidshare, megaupload etc links and place them inside the members-area? Or better yet have someone write a crawler script, that way I couldn't be held accountable for the content, as *I* wouldn't be hosting the stuff, rapidshare would.I wouldn't be uploading the stolen content, I would just list what is out there.

Dude... what you are doing is plain wrong. Not necessarily legally, but your ethics are pretty low from what I can tell...

so you offer a content you own licenses to and give them access to a p2p network and you find nothing wrong with this because p2p is all over the internet?

you do realise p2p is the "darkside/underbelly" of the internet called 'WAREZ' meaning its not legit, aka illegal.

You are some shady mother fuckers for doing it and the sad thing is you cant even spin the fact you are shady very good..

This is just another example where is charged something what is usualy free. For example there was kazza distributed as commercial software. But what bother's me it's they claim all that download is legal and there is not a single legal thing and that is biggest problem beacuse they lie. Also badoink is not only sponsor who has that, there are plenty of other's.
