2 big monitors or 3 smaller ones, what's better?

What do you think is better for webmasters to have, two big screens (say 24") or three smaller monitors (say 2 normal 19" and 1 widescreen 22", or 3x19")?

Personally, I think 3 is the sweet spot for an active webmaster.

I have two 19" dell LCD's and I think that's enough.. Then again I'm sure I could get use to three. I just wish the LCD's had no space between them.

I think if I used 3 I'd turn them on their sides so the height matched up wirh the width better.

I have two, and I would rather add a third than make them bigger. Then I could stick chat windows, mail, and all that other stuff off by itself.

work duel 19" plus 2 laptops
Home duel 22" plus laptops

Wish list 30" (or bigger) and a small 15" lcd just to have stats up 100% of the time. But first I need to get myself a nice 52" plasma for the living room and a bigger desk.

Also have a look at http://www.maxivista.com gives life to even old PC's

One big monitor is fine for me, as long as it has a decent res, like 1920x1600. 24" or 30"

Im used to having two monitors, usually around 19" or 20" and could never go back to only 1 of that size.

But, I have two 24" Dell flatpanels at home and its almost too much... could easily get by with just one. If I have smaller display's two is enough:P

You should consider mounting them on an Ergotron triple-monitor stand. They will look really dope

I have a 24" here at the office, but I think you want 2 displays, sometimes it just makes things easier to deal with.
