2 big monitors or 3 smaller ones, what's better?

What do you think is better for webmasters to have, two big screens (say 24") or three smaller monitors (say 2 normal 19" and 1 widescreen 22", or 3x19")?

Personally, I think 3 is the sweet spot for an active webmaster.

stickyfingerz 01-21-2007 08:12 AM

I don't know how they work efficiently on one monitor neither!

SkeetSkeet 01-21-2007 05:54 PM

go with 2 larger ones ... takes up less desk space

madawgz 01-21-2007 06:33 PM

im fine with 1 monitor lol

crockett 01-21-2007 06:38 PM

I have two 19" dell LCD's and I think that's enough.. Then again I'm sure I could get use to three. I just wish the LCD's had no space between them.

I think if I used 3 I'd turn them on their sides so the height matched up wirh the width better.

That's cause your not a serious webmaster yet. LOL:winkwink:

wyldworx 01-21-2007 06:40 PM

yeah I use one, but if you are splashing out on monitors, I would buy the two widescreens!

feN 01-21-2007 06:59 PM

if you use only one monitor which is <22" u suck.

RawAlex 01-21-2007 08:58 PM

I have two, and I would rather add a third than make them bigger. Then I could stick chat windows, mail, and all that other stuff off by itself.

tony286 01-21-2007 09:08 PM

I think it all depends on what your doing

surferbob 01-21-2007 09:15 PM

2 large then ya dont have to turn your head !!

webcrawler 01-21-2007 10:51 PM

dual setup works perfect.

pindropv2 01-22-2007 12:16 AM

dual dell 19's and the 30"

martinsc 01-22-2007 12:17 AM

i love my dual 19" setup....

PAR 01-22-2007 12:36 AM

work duel 19" plus 2 laptops
Home duel 22" plus laptops

Wish list 30" (or bigger) and a small 15" lcd just to have stats up 100% of the time. But first I need to get myself a nice 52" plasma for the living room and a bigger desk.

Also have a look at http://www.maxivista.com gives life to even old PC's

VeriSexy 01-22-2007 12:42 AM

3 19inchers....

4Man 01-22-2007 10:22 AM

2 Big one are alright...

drjones 01-22-2007 10:29 AM

One big monitor is fine for me, as long as it has a decent res, like 1920x1600. 24" or 30"

Im used to having two monitors, usually around 19" or 20" and could never go back to only 1 of that size.

But, I have two 24" Dell flatpanels at home and its almost too much... could easily get by with just one. If I have smaller display's two is enough:P

MikeVega 01-22-2007 11:38 AM

You should consider mounting them on an Ergotron triple-monitor stand. They will look really dope:thumbsup

xroach 01-22-2007 06:20 PM

three, so the center of your viewport isn't the edge of two screens

4Pics 01-22-2007 06:59 PM

I have a 24" here at the office, but I think you want 2 displays, sometimes it just makes things easier to deal with.
