Register Fly Dead ???

hello all
i have a problem with registerfly, if someone can help, thanks in advance

on December 16th, all of my sites went down
1256 sites to be exact

after few hours investigating, i discovered my dns has been changed
i thought my RFLY account has been hacked but no

i sent them a message to know what's happenning ?
and during that time, i manually changed dns on hundreds of them
the next day, no answer so i continue changing dns for few hours
same for the following day and so on ....

it took them 13 days to answer me, telling they have a problem with dns server
i lived hell for 2 weeks not knowing what happened

so i waited few days and send them a message to know if everything was ok now
they didn't answer that message
i sent another message 2 days after and still no answer
i sent another messages days after and still no answer ....
and so on and so on

last week, it has been 30 days my sites are down
i sent A MESSAGE IN CAPS and still no answer .....

i tried their live customer service and there's nobody answering there
i call them in the USA (i live in vietnam) and the system hang up on me

when clicking on the support link, it's written :
"Due to unusually high call volumes, hold times
may be between 30 and 40 minutes during peak hours.
Please use the online chat or the support ticket system if you do not wish to wait."

some other time, i call and wait and wait and wait .....
"we apologize but all our agents are answering other clients...blablabla"

i woke up one morning and had enough of them .....
so i decided to transfer my domains to another registrant
BUT I CAN'T because they also changed my whois

i am not the owner of my domains anymore : they are
i cant not transfer my domains because [email protected]
is the owner so i don't received transfer notifications ............

my lawyer highly suggest me to file a lawsuit against them

do somebody here can recommend me a good lawyer for such a case ?
do somebody have a direct contact with them so i can talk with someone ?
do somebody can tell me opinions about such a situation ?

they don't have a news section
i never received a news about that dns problem
i never received any update about this problem
am i alone living this nightmare ?

does this company still operate ?
are they going out of business soon ?

any comments will be greatly appreciated
if you don't want to reply here, contact me at
[email protected]

thanks for your time

I still have some domains with them... ALWAYS trouble when I have to renew them. Never less than 4 trouble tickets. And few or non answers. So, please file a lawsuite against them. They dont deserve to live!

I think this is like the 3rd thread this week with the exact same problems.

If I'm not mistaken, Loryn started one yesterday similar to this

I just did it on mine..when I first read this topic. I didn't realize the contact info had also been changed until I saw this thread and went and checked mine. Sure enough it was all changed to their support contact info.

So I did a bulk change and just checked it and it worked..

Me again

Just did a search on "registerfly" on this board : OUCH !

BULK CHANGE doesn't work Crockett !?!
*saw your post too

I see "Bulk Manager" on the right menu
but inside, there's only :

- Bulk Domain List
- Bulk Domain Search Query
- Bulk Domain by group/category

would you like to explain to me how you did this ?

Yea I updated one of my domain profiles then used that for the bulk changes. Went back and checked one of my domain's contact info and it was updated.

That's a shitty story. I had a bad experience with RegisterFly too. I was using their escrow service to get a domain and they just never approved the payment and wouldn't respond to any emails.

I have never had a problem with them (over 7000 domains), support has always answered quickly etc... And I have never noticed any horror stories on GFY either..

Namecheap have been good for me.

I just transferred all my domains to namecheap as they have provided the best service over the last few years.

Most of the others suck, especially godaddy.
