can call your own. It may be a pain in the ass but it's YOUR pain and YOUR ass. You'll
get lazy and shit will go wrong. But when it does, you can damn sure figure it out and
you will survive. You WILL do whatever the fuck you have to for things to work.

And when your wife or girlfriend says you work to much and/or don't spend enough time
with them you will tell them to fuck off with their spoiled ass because NO FUCKING WAY
you are going to let your business slide to the point where you have to sign your name
to a job application.

Aside from the fact that I can no longer force myself to work for somebody how do you
people get by on $10, $15, or even $30 a fucking hour? I don't have much of anything but
$30 an hour wouldn't fucking touch the notes I have.

Beware noobs, once you reach a certain point there is no turning back. You would rather
fucking die.

damn man, as a small paysite runner for a very specific niche you really nailed that down hardcore style... i'm particularly blown on saki and having trouble typing this but fuck, that certainly sums up the last 8 years of my life.

I just got laid off from RL work and cant find shit, I make some $$ from my freesites and such , but not enough to live on. = tough to admit that.

Worked hard for everyone else over the years, made a few sites 100k+, gave everyone else a break, spent weeks shooting, traveling, editing, coding and making dvds but sold myself too short in the end. I felt like a big puppy dog left on someones porch after I got to big to keep.

sucks - and to top it off I'm surviving here in BIBLE lala land and its brutal.... you have NO idea. Even a image of a girl in a bikini draws a instant shutdown of anything I'm doing by the people I stay with. So I do all my work from 11PM to 6 Am. everyday, and erasing everything of HD and saving to flash to reload the next becasue I dont know if I will be living here from day to day.

Its hard.

Damn you guys for bumping this. My teacher told me to tell her the minute I got state certification because she has "several" places looking to hire. Good because I'll be able to use what I've been toiling away for in the last 2 years, bad because I just DREAD working in an office environment again

Thankfully this will be in an area where everyone's very casual so jeans will be what to wear instead of suits, but still.......Oh well, the sooner I get office experience, the sooner I can go out on my own.

Still bummed

i'm right there with you up until the wanting to die part and it being like crack. i think i'd rather suck it up and take a $10/hour job and work a "normal" 40 hour work week to stay alive and housed - until i could get my shit together to work for myself again, that is.
