my adwords campaigns haven't changed...
the 1 think i'd heavily question is this...the adwords content network are results shown on people who put adsense on their sites. now you are not allowed to put adsense on adult sites....so then it seems your keywords if truly being shown on the content network are being shown on non-adult sites...

The content network is YEARS old... the only thing Google changed is giving you the option not to advertise on it, no?
Content Network was added some months ago as a seperate option, before it was just all in one, was it not? The optimization for it has just changed as well or so it seems to me. So that is why there is not problem for them to just automatically enable content network for all old campaigns, it was activated before anyway... The thing that concerns me way way more here is the few people that said they had a limit of for example $100 and google let it go higher than that. THAT is fucked up. If you have a limit of $X and then complain google spent it all, you need to rethink your way of making money ;)

The only change I made to adjust the sudden flood of content network traffic, was to lower the amount I pay for each click. I'll still take all of it that they can send, but instead of paying 0.50c or higher for it, I'm only paying 0.05c for it at most.

I would say your the only one at fault.
I dont know how you could miss that even if you have "lots" of campains, do you not check ANY of them? I know if I saw that in one I would check the others. But then if you would even scan pages befor clicking ok you would notice more things too. I hope lots of you do stop using google ![]() ![]() Quote:

What's wrong with Google's content network? I get an average of 6 page views from visitors from the content network. I also don't pay more than .10 per click so I don't worry too much about it.

I am still learning about about this. I have read and hear hundreds of stories like this about Google.
It just seems that they are trying to do too many things, and all of them are about 75%. I am sorry that has happened to you, but everytime a company gets too big for their britches, they are a prime target to loose consumers respect, and market share. And most companies fall from grace because of it, and never recover. It seems Google is making themselves a prime target for corporate espionage, and catastrphic disaster. Just based on companies that have gone before them, and got kicked in the ass when they wern't looking. I wouldn't be suprised to read an article in 3 years titled "The rise and fall of Google". |

Thank you for your email, and I apologize for your frustration with the
content network. In certain cases, we can issue users who are unhappy with the relevance on the content network a one-time courtesy credit in the amount of 10% of their monthly spend across all campaigns. If you'd like to accept this credit, reply to this message with your confirmation. After we process your credit, you'll see it reflected on your Billing Summary. I also want to inform you that, per Google policy, if you protest these charges with your bank and initiate any chargebacks, your AdWords account will be suspended indefinitely. Therefore, if you would like to continue advertising on Google, I urge you not to issue any chargebacks. If you need any further clarification on this point, please let me know.

Lisa M. from Google called me today and she said she will try to get me some type of credit. I will NOT accept a 10% credit.
![]() I would rather chargeback and never use Adwords again. Fuckers. |

I noticed that sometimes there's absolutely no relevancy between your keywords (even if you use [exact match] to ensure the most targetted traffic) and the parked domain, where your ads are shown...

I thought google was out of adult
There are some obvious terms and phrases with NO adwords links anymore. Once they started "landing page" analysis last year I had to leave them.
Am waiting for the next "hot" search engine to take the public by storm.

More google misery I see -
Dont forget to contribute to www.fuckedgoogle.com - a place which is growing in popularity. Its worth posting your troubles there and letting people know how you feel about google. Personally I gave up on them years ago. I have no trust in them - non whatsoever. |

Google's always finding ways to scam people. You need to constantly be ontop of your shit with Google or else they'll find a way to take advantage.
Good luck
