The correct position is to keep arafat, if you hold an election now palestines president will be some hamas member. Give the palestinians a state and westernize it. It will give hope to alot of palestinians and the extremist will have alot harder recruiting people. Do you live in a dream world? it's not easy as it looks. Firstly, you need tremendous amounts of money. Who's gonna pay those? Secondly, it's really hard to change a few whole generations that were educated to hate the western world. We fought to gain our independence here in America wiith a long & bloody revolutionary war.

Now heres the palestinians, the closest they can come to fighting for their independence is sending a man into a super market with a bomb strapped to his back.

It's not an easy process but it is very possible, like I said westernize the whole country. Give them mcdonalds, internet and porn...The main problem today is that the palestinian education system sucks, the teachers are teaching the children that it is ok to suicide bomb israeli civilians. When they get home they read the koran and think that God gave them the country.

Once the people get education they can start questioning religion which is a very big reason why alot of people say this is our country cuz it says so here.

This is totally untrue. Revolutionaries murdered loyalists and their families and destroyed their businesses in an effort to limit goods going back to the Crown. And at the time the combat tactics of the seperatists were considered just as shocking as the suicide bombers are now. There are actually a great many parrallels between the Revolutionary struggle and the Palestinian struggle.

Almost all of where Israel now sits is urban or suburban. Skirmishing out in the woods is just not practical.

As far as killing innocents...I am appalled by this. But you have to remember that every Jew who has emigrated to Israel lives on
Palestinian land and at the expense of the Palestinian people.
They are as legitimate a target as workers killed in bombing raids in WWII.

Whether the bomb is dropped by F16 or mailed in a box it doesn't matter morally either way.

Now that the USA is in full control of the Gulf Oil, virtually occupying those countries, why does it still need Israel to safe-guard its interests in the area? If the Americans love the Israelis so much why don?t they take them all and give them a state, and take care of them? It will certainly cost the American tax payer much less. Give them a bit of desert they say they can make it bloom!

Good post. I have been saying over and over that the tacics of both sides only exacerbate the hatred. It is my opinion that at some point in time an intervening military force is going to have to be deployed to step between the two sides to bring an eventual end to the killing that both sides are involved in. That is of course assuming that any one in the world actually cares enough about either people to end the killing.

The tit for tat tactics of both sides just keeps the wheel turning.
