CCbill will Close my account ! What should i do ?

I got this from CCBILL ...

To say that I am concerned about your chargeback rate would be an understatement. Your chargeback rate for November (3.81%) is up over 1% from October (2.73%). The Fraud Department initially began contacting you about this problem back in August; now three months have passed and instead of your chargeback problem getting better, the condition has only gotten worse.

At this point I am dumfounded. I am unsure of what can be done to save your account. When looking over the chargebacks for November, I see the same fraud trends that I previously mentioned to you before (please reference attached excel sheet). It doesn?t look like anything is being done effectively on your end to remedy the situation.

When my boss sees your chargeback rate for November, he is going to want to know why I have not already deactivated your account. I am having a hard time coming up with good reasons to keep your account active. Do you have any suggestions?

Regards,

Agreed.

ban half the world countries for my paysite ... and I still think another 50 countries should be added ...

- All eastern Europe

- All middle East, including Israel

- All Africa

- All Carribean Islands

OK, let me take the shorter route. Allow:

- USA
- Canada
- Europe ( the old one, the one of Rumsfeld )

That is IT !

Anyone double check to ensure the tour is not misleading, lack of updates, or other normal issues that piss people off.

BTW most of my fraud is from USA, Europe, then Canada, after that is parts of South America. In that order.

Then you do have a problem...

- Do not accept women memberships... most of he time it is the BF using her card; he then splits with another pussy, she is pissed, she charges back.

- make sure you do the promised updates, otherwise notify the members of why and when.

Is that as a percentage of all sales or as a percentage of the particular country.

For example, most sales period come from the US. So are US chargebacks measured against only US sales?

Example: If you 100 people signed up from the US and 2 charged back. In the same month, 2 people sign up from Brazil and 1 charges back. There's now more chargebacks from the US but as a percentage, Brazilians would be charging back more often.

I agree here. When you're diligent when trying to spot fraud and your chargeback rate is still high then I'd try and clean up my own back yard. Maybe take another look at your members area and see if there's anything in what you're offering that's pissing off your customers.

I keep most of it super low (under 0.5%), And yes this is based on percentages almost. Portions of Canada and South America are equal.
For awhile I was almost triple, that fixed once program closed to public, went invite, and crappy webmasters (higher cb ratios) removed from promo ability(yes they were warned first).

$29.95 for 30-days Full Membership. or $14.95 for 1 Week Trial.
Click the button for creditcard signup and there is your problem: $69,95
Some horny surfers are focused on filling in that for ASAP and are surprised to see a $69,95 charge on your creditcard.

+

It will increase your ratio: now the surfers that actually take a look at the join page are thinking "HUH? the previous page said $14,95" and close the window and search for another site to join.

Do you know what type of joins ($14,95, $29,95 or $69,95) are getting you the most chargebacks?

Oh.. and one more thing. Stop promising on what you do not deliver.

To have a charge back rate that fucking high, you are either targetting the countries who commit fraud. Or you are promising a bunch of shit your site doesn't deliver, hence the charge backs.

I would implement most, if not all of the recommendations in this thread..there is a ton of experience and sound advice here.. Make a list of these changes, and MAKE THEM immediately, and tell CCBill what you are doing to change things. Show them the changes you are making. Part of their problem seems to be that you are not showing any effort in reducing chargebacks that they are able to see. Communication with them and making active changes based upon their's and the advice in this thread will go a long way.

You should also start lining up a backup processor, prehaps someone offshore or that deals with more international processing... do not think that this will just go away.... get a secondary processor lined up now. When you get a letter like this it's very serious and it's not going away.

Get another processor NOW, if not sooner.

You're defaulting to $69.95 payment ... That's why.... Put it to $29.95 a month as the prior link states as the cost, "$29.95 for 30-days Full Membership. or $14.95 for 1 Week Trial." and chargeback should drop considerably...

I'm surprised CCBill guy didn't notice and make you change that?

there are some good suggestions in this thread, my suggestion would be to reply to the email and start a dialogue of your plan to address the issue, you will find they will be reasonable with you...

drop the 69.95, if one of those cb's it = 2 reg cb's

also your cb's might all be from the US but is the affiliate from the us?

make a list of all your cb's and see if you can find a pattern, they might all be coming from 1 or a few crooked affiliates using stolen US creditcards

if their was a problem with your members areas you should be getting plenty of emails so I'll assume they are fine.

see where most of chargebacks are coming from and if they're
related to an affiliate.

as some people said before, missleading signup page. "Online Credit Card :
$29.95 for 30-days Full Membership. or $14.95 for 1 Week Trial." should go to $29.95 or $14.95 and NOT $69.95 by default in the drop down box. People are lazy and when they found out about the charge the will do I charge back...simple as that!

What this dude is going through is FRAUD by a gang of people who have access to numerous women credit cards...

I saw it going on with my site and to cover my ass, I immediately emailed ccbill about what I thought was going on....I told them the exact situation of how the signups were generated, the style, etc. etc...I asked them to look into my account and verify...They then told me that I would have to provide them with the affiliates that I thought were fraudulent...

I DIDN'T ASK them to look into the individual affiliates...Mainly because there were a multitude of them that signed up and they were spreading the signups over all of them....I asked them to look at my overall sales for those recent days and to see if they notice anything fucked up going on...I guess it doesn't work that way.....So after I provided them with a list of affiliates that I thought were bad, all they did was tell me that they can suspend the accounts if I want...I CAN DO THAT SHIT MY FUCKING SELF!...So I went in and cancelled 14 affiliates that were doing it and marked all of them as "possible fraud".

I then started a thread on gfy about it where I saw the same thing happening to DirtyD of howigotrich and I needed to contact him...The thread is here https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/677858-urgently-speak-owner-tampa-bukakke.html . I talked to him, which he can verify, and he cancelled his fraud accounts and I cancelled mine... One of the sites where this very fraud is going on with ccbill sites is www.bergdorf-goodman.net , where they'll throw up banners to the sites that they're currently defrauding to make it look like they're sending traffic, then they run the credit cards through all the accounts.

I don't know if the affiliates got paid for the fraud with my account or not...And also, they sign up so many times, I'm sure that it's difficult to catch all of them that signup...In fact, while I was writing this, yet another one of them signed up...I'll give the whole info cause I know it's fraud:

Affiliate ID: 1403219
First name: Ruth
Last name: Hightower
Name on check: Ruth Hightower
Company:
Domain: http://iowasexoffender.us

Now look at that shit! Those are the kinds of url's they signup from...And since they sign up all day every day, I won't be able to catch all of them...Then they'll be sending the same bullshit signups and eventually I could get hit with mega chargebacks and then I gotta deal with somebody from ccbill emailing me about how "dumbfounded" he is about all of it? I'll be GOTDAMNED if I let that shit happen...

I guess I'll be bookmarking this thread also for further use...I'm doing everything I can to cover my ass and people are apathetic about it until the chargebacks roll in.

This is VISA and CCBill's problem about stolen credit cards.
I don't understand why they always have a conclusion that it is affiliate's fraud.

Wanna make a site die?
We offer chargebacks services, pricing starting from $5 per chargeback, up to 200 a day.

I remember reading something like that in a forum a few weeks ago
